I quickly learned that my filament would degrade when exposed to air and humidity, so I was looking for an affordable and reusable storage option. I absolutely love vacuum seal bags in the kitchen, so this was an obvious choice. The bags easily fit a spool and the vacuum works well--you just need it seated correctly. Some pumps need pressure, sometimes the suction cup should be warmed with your hand. Once you know how your pump works, it will work every time. I've also been able to reuse the bags. I've opened a stored filament, printed, and put it back in the vacuum bag for storage using the pump and have had no issues. This storage option is a much better value than some temperature/humidity-controlled boxes--and a space saver. Even if I have to buy more bags as these wear out, it's still a better bargain. Once vacuum sealed, you can put the spools back into the box they came in--great if you want to store by color/brand.

At first I had a hard time getting it to work and was ready to give up on it but then I got the hang of it. I made to sure the bag was completely sealed and really made sure at the suction area the bag was flat with no creases before applying suction. I’ve had it for about 3 weeks now and the ones I have vacuum sealed are holding up. I'm happy with it.

Nice bags, sturdy, and seal well. The pump pumps very well and has good suction. The issue is, either the pump does not seal to the bag face, or the valve on the bag does not allow the pump to function. Out of the entire kit and very many attempts on all units, I was able to successfully vacuum only one bag one time. Look for an alternative would be my suggestion...

Bags are nice, pump can be difficult to make a seal with. Once you get it to seal though, works very well. Hand pump version takes longer, but works more consistently. Vacuum seal holds pretty well.

(full refund was provided for the defective pump) the big reason i went with this product was the included vacuum pump. The thing is garbage. couldn't get a single bag to vacuum seal. I ended up using our vacuum pump from our larger clothes bags to do the trick. but as i sit hear typing this, i can hear crinkling from the bags like they are losing their seal. will update this review if im pleasantly surprised but im not going to hold my breath.Update: bags appear to be holding vacuum. Seller offered refund for the defective pump.

The pump seems to work well if you use the bags on a hard, flat surface. Some of the bags seem to leak after pumping them down.The humidity indicator cards are missing. Amazon sent another kit, but the cards are still missing.

I've been using these to seal up my 3d printing filaments for a few months now, and I'm confident I made the right purchase with this kit.The vacuum pump is high quality. I've used it so seal and reseal bags around 50 times and still haven't had to recharge it. When properly seated over the little circle flaps on the bag (and with a decent amount of pressure applied from the top) it'll evacuate a bag with a roll of filament in around 15 seconds.The bags are nice, but you have to make sure you completely snap every part of the zip strip. Sometimes you'll get a seal failure and think "well, clearly this bag has gone bad" only to realize you missed a small spot on the strip.The dessicant packets are larger than the ones that come with my filaments, so I just chuck one in each bag along with the smaller one the filament came with. So far, using this kit, I haven't had any moisture contamination issues with my printing.

I often need to swap out filaments for my various projects. Using the original bags has been a hassle. This Amolen kit is working out for me very well. I haven't had it long enough to evaluate longevity. From my shorter perspective it's great. The bags are the right size for my rolls and it's nice to have the little humidity stickers for the inside of the bags. I am very impressed with how well the little vacuum pump works. It's a little tricky, but managable. It's nice to be able to easily check and find the filament for my upcoming project, and even nicer to spend a minute or two to pack up my used spool and seal it for storage. I am thinking of making additional purchases of this product for my friends and family. It's not just for storing filament. It's also usable for food where vavuum packed storage is desirable.
