Calming and cozy
Effective for calming sensation. It is definitely heavy so I would say kids should be at least 4 years old (or a larger 3yr old maybe). Calming sensation also works on adults - either by using it themselves or by having a calmer child ;-)

Keeps kids calm

It is soft and cute but the beads on the inside just flow all over the place and makes it difficult to get them back in the arms or legs, so that gets a little annoying, but it does work to calm ya down.
