No on/off switch
No on/off switch. Light must be plugged and unplugged for on/off operation. The power cord is not not very long.

Nowhere near the claimed wattage
Not 500 watts as advertised. Initially pulled 375-380 watts and after warming up around 10 minutes it had dropped to only 265 watts. Also got pretty hot during that 10 minute period. Mounting bracket is a bit on the flimsy side.
