Very authoritative, sets out the information very clearly and in great detail. I used this as my primary text for my Company Law module and achieved a first. I would recommend this book to all company law students.

This is a very practical guide to Company Law rather than a strictly academic work. Its content is great for day to day points that come up in practice and I would recommend it to practitioners as well as students. It is updated annually so you know it is current.

This textbook on English company law is well-written, up-to-date and comprehensive. Unlike many lawyers who (attempt to)write about the law, these authors can express themselves succinctly and clearly. They do not over-complicate matters and yet they do not miss out much either. I would have awarded five stars but for a slight amount of unnecessary repetition and some avoidable punctuation errors, but this is nit-picking. I thoroughly recommend this textbook to all those keen on getting a comprehensive overview of English company law. I particularly enjoyed reading about the historical background to current company law in the introductory chapter. It puts everything nicely in context.
