Very attractive and functional. I love this butter keeper. If you use real butter, you need one of these. It keeps the butter soft and fresh while sitting on the counter.

This is the nicest butter boat I've ever had. But the lid don't fit tight and Falls in. Amazon's already taken care of that and sending me another one so only thing I can hope for is that the replacement lid fits. But I'm not looking just for lid I'm looking for the whole thing and that the lid fits the new one that is being sent to me because this one doesn't matter but as a butter boat this is the best one I've ever had as far as function for that purpose except for the lid.

I love the color and the concept. Wish the lid fit better. It's loose and easily flies off when lightly bumped, which could result in it breaking. I like the design of having the water reservoir underneath the butter dish, which is so much better than butter bells, which never worked well for me. No mold grows in the reservoir, no matter how long it's there. The only problem is the wonky lid fit. Also, I'd prefer if there was an easy way to set a butter server knife in the or on the dish, but that's not critical.

Arrived earlier than expected holds a stick and a half and keeps the butter a terrific temperature, in winter just a bit of water from the kettle keeps the butter soft and cool water in the summer keeps it fresh and lovely all summer long.

It’s a cute color but the lid doesn’t fit snug and leaves gaps and gets knocked off easily.

I bought this butter boat in March of '23. The lid didn't fit snuggly or tightly. I thought that it wouldn't be a problem but over time, it has become a problem. Unless you carefully align the lid onto the bowl, there will be a gap along one of the four sides. The lid on my prior butter boat fit perfectly into the bowl... just like a pot and lid would. No need to adjust the lid so that its contents are exposed to air, dust, or bugs. I should have returned it immediately except I didn't think it would become the problem that it has become. I'm on Amazon looking for a replacement when I saw this one again and it stated that I purchased it before. Every time I look at it I get angry at the sight of it. I bought it because it looked beautiful, its country red color screamed "countryside", and the cursive "Butter" written on the side was quaint. I wish I read all of the comments about the loosely fitting lid before I bought it. My previous butter boat was a simple white, smaller sized boat... but the lid fit perfectly. It broke so I had to get a replacement. The last thing I expected was a lid that didn't fit. I mean... how difficult can it be to get a lid correctly fitted? Unless you bought some other manufacturers rejects and resold them. I can't wait until I get my new butter boat so that I can smash this one to smithereens with a hammer. Or I can make it into a planter like I did with my other butter boat. The "boat" part of that one broke, so I turned the water reservoir part into a planter. I guess I could smash the lid on the one I have now instead of destroying the whole thing. DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. IT'S A PIECE OF JUNK!

Butter Boat keeps the butter spreadable and the butter flavor stays fresh. Cleaning is easy and a lovely addition to my dinner table.
