used this with the quest 2 and it basically turns passthrough into night vision. tracking works great in the dark and you can actually see your space without lights on. small, easy to use, and does exactly what it’s supposed to. big difference if you play in low light.

Works well to turn my Quest 1 into a cheap set of Night Vision goggles. Also works well to track controllers when playing at night. Took these out to take a peek at what's going on at night in the woods behind me. Quest Night Vision is grainy but these lit up everything. It was so cool.

Works perfect, wish that it had fast charging capability but there's only like 2 or three of these devices right now without using an external device. Also watch the heat coming off of it. The device can get a bit hot!Would recommend to others and I bought two so I could give one to my friend!

Works great for my Quest3! Tried it in my bathroom with no windows and it worked well with both hand tracking and controllers. Great for when I want to let the kids and dogs sleep. Not sure about the battery draw as I’ve not tried for an extended time.

UPDATE 4/18/25I needed to update my once 5 star review to a 1 star.I've had the device for a few weeks and have used it only a few times.Each session lasted and hour or so. Even after so little use, the device has gotten so hot, that it has started to melt and deform around the IR Emitters. I cannot in good faith recommend this product.Great idea but flawed execution.

Struggles to charge my quest even when off but it works with any power source so not completely useless, it can work as a stationary light for night or dark rooms and works great at lighting up everything but it likes taking power not transferring it to the thing I wanna charge which sucks because I have to set it up stationary which also sucks because it won’t light up the other side if you’re playing a competitive game so tracking might mess up at times, I would recommend getting a splitter so you can just strap it to the top of your headset and use it that way.

I bought these to see if I could see in the dark with my Q2 goggles. We live in a rural area without streetlights so it is quite dark at night. This IR illuminator does the trick! Can walk around in the darkness and while it is a bit grainy, it does work! Also works great for its intended purpose, making it easier to use your Q2 in a darker room, no need to blast with a bunch of regular lights. I haven't tried it with my Quest 3, not sure that works, doesn't claim to. I believe the Q3 uses the color cameras for positional information.

Works well to play Beat Saber.
