Thare is a cover that comes with it and it has a zipper on it so it can be taken off to Wash. My daughter's came with the cover off of it, that is how I know about it.

Yes, my guests loved it. It was reported this futon is comfortable. I like the storage bag that came with it.

My twin arrived from UPS in a cardboard box that was about 45" long x 14" wide. The mattress is rolled tight and wrapped in plastic. Once you remove the mattress from the plastic it expands greatly.
