I am recommending this book to all my advisees
Gad is a happy person and his happiness is infectious. I believe that this is because Gad fundamentally values truth and freedom. These two words are foreign to far too many of my students, and, it is not a coincidence, that far too many of my students are not experiencing happiness. In fact, the single best descriptor of today's student is "lost". That is, college is no longer a place for students to "find" themselves but a place for them to lose themselves. Gad's book, which is well written and fun to read, provides students with stories, research, and evidence that will help them walk the walk with Gad to a happy life. Parents, if your child does not have an advisor that will recommend that he/she read The Saad Truth of Happiness, then buy it for them today. They can read it over a weekend, and chances are, they will see themselves as free and truth seeking people--and college will take on more meaning, and they will enjoy more happiness.

The second half of this book is really good
I struggled with the first half of this book and didn’t find it very interesting but the second half was really good and fulfilling.

Great read
I really enjoyed this book. It didn't really help me personally, but it does offer some great insight into the insanity and chaos that some people live and what you can do to remain happy when there's so much negativity out there. First step, buy this book. Second, read it. Third, don't open social media.

LOVE THIS BOOK
This book is way more entertaining than I thought it would be. Gad has a way of telling stories that go with the point he is making. He is common sense, has a great sense of humor, teaches in a very optimistic way. This book is great for people 17 & up. Youth today need optimistic & REAL techniques to be a happier person. I’m loaning this book to family members to read too.

Good summary of others’ research
A interesting book, full of good advice, much the same as other books on happiness. It is unfortunate that his snide comments and self-congratulatory remarks undermine his credibility.

Conoscendo un pò l'autore, mi aspettavo decisamente qualcosa di più frizzante. Molto autocelebrativo (... io ho fatto questo, io ho fatto quello, fate come me etc.... ) .
