Benway Counted Cross Stitch Kit Boy Playing with Colorful Bubbles Under The Heart Tree 14 Count 42cm X 41cm

I bought this kit a while ago, but have finally had time to do it during Lockdown!It's only the second time I've done cross stitch, but it's fairly easy to follow. My only complaint is that the pattern is printed on two sides of the same sheet of paper - it would have been easier to read if it was printed on one side and then folded. The threads are also not the smoothest and snag a bit, but I found the kit had more than enough thread for the project, even accounting for knots etc!

It's 2020 and lockdown has encouraged me to finally finish this after starting it in 2016! On reading some of the other reviews, I can verify that these are NOT real DMC threads and that the company who packaged these kits did not provide enough of some of the colours. As a result, I've run out of black and because it's not real DMC, I can't buy anymore of the same poor quality. Thankfully, I have another cross-stitch kit by the same company so I've stolen the black from that pack and have ordered actual DMC threads for that kit. The finished result is going to be beautiful so that's why I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

Easy to follow pattern. Shame they don’t include enough thread. Thread is not DMC either. A bit on the cheap side. Not an identical colour match to DMC, especially the blue, so have a care on how you “colour” the rainbow.

The cottons are as previously stated of a cheaper quality, however, with perseverance and plenty of time, the needle will thread up, eventually !!!

I'm pleased with it overall. The finished picture looks great. The pattern was pretty easy to follow. It would have been easier if it wasn't printed on both sides so you could join all 4 parts of the pattern. It did cause a little confusion.

This has been fun to stitch and now it’s finished it looks wonderful. It was the biggest I’ve done so far and took just under 3 months to complete only stitching in the evenings. It takes patience and time to start seeing some progress but keep going and it’ll start to come together.

This is a nice kit. I've got the girl one too.Still gave 5 *'s as the issue I have is minor.I feel the only thing this kit is missing is a black and white chart that can be copied to mark off completed stitches. Other than that I'm enjoying this kit.I recommend threading one needle with the black and stitch the rainbow and shadow at the same time to reduce errors.

I'm so happy with the end result, although the thread is not DMC as advertised, I can forgive for that.My only regret is that I didn't use 3x threads for the black rather than 2.A fantastic product that I thoroughly enjoyed making. I then had it made into a cushion.
