Sturdy
Love it! It’s been a few years. Sturdy & provides much needed shade.

10x12 hard top
The item came packaged perfectly. All the metal roof parts were wrapped in a wooden structure. Putting it together was not bad with two people. One thing I can recommend is that as you do the roof panels, you screw them into place as opposed to waiting until they are all finished to screw them into place because they slide down and the holes get off centered. You might have to use some force and maybe something to pry the roof up as you put in some of the screws but they do all go in. The roof panel clips are extremely tedious. I would suggest putting a strip of tape on the underneath side to hold them in place. Otherwise they will be popping off and you’ll be climbing up and down the ladder 25 times.

No clear instructions. Frustrating
Basically no instructions just a few drawings. Screws needed to to at least 1/4" longer. Was a struggle. Holes in corner post for were smaller than the bolts.Should have been a 5 hour job turned into 5 days. And on and on

Great product
Bought the galvanized metal roof version. Very happy with end result. Quality of design is very good. Yes, it does take some time to assemble but well worth it. Also, very clear instructions.

At least 3 people to assembly together! It takes 3 days, and is a b$&&? To put up!
It’s hard to assemble alone took me three days to put together. It’s decent, but a tad hot to be under!

Roof panels are horrible
The frame went up fine, but the roof panels are just horrible. Nothing lines up, screws are not long enough and the directions are worse than ikea.

Somewhat easy to install - much sturdier than my previous one
I read the reviews about how hard this was to install. It's actually pretty straight forward and easy to do. I did most of it by myself but the roof panels I had to do with some help. The most important part is getting it put together square. Leave the post bolts a little loose until you have all the roof pieces in place. Once that is done, tighten everything down. Then the roof panels will line up much easier with a perfectly square setup. The instructions could use some wording instead of pictures to make things clearer. For example, in order to put the R1 and R2 pieces in the top roof you have to remove the screws of the outer frame section so move it out of the way while sliding the panels in. Easy after that. Putting the roof together had a few alignment issues but was able to get them aligned with a Phillips screwdriver through other holes as a pry bar for adjusting. Have not installed the curtains and netting yet but those are very easy. Fastened three of the legs into the deck joists with ledger bolts. The third leg did not line up with a joist, so I used shorter aggressive lag bolts. Drilled additional holes in the post supports for more bolts. Used a flush ledger bolt on the surface boards into the closest joists to give them strength.
