THE REAL DEAL
This iron is the REAL DEAL!! After shopping at various stores including: Macy's, Target and Kohl's, this iron is made in France. The packaging was way more carefully constructed, insuring the iron to be properly protected. The irons I looked at in the specified stores were all made in China!! The packaging was not protective at all! I also ordered a Rowenta off Amazon shipped from Capitol Cookware. I immediately sent it back as it too was made in China. If you love the Rowenta brand, I highly recommend this iron from France! Sadly, I could not find one made in Germany.

This Iron Delivers
I purchased this iron to steam draperies, and it delivered. Nice heavy weight. Smooth flow of steam.

Rowenta makes a durable product.
I have always had good experiences with Rowenta irons. My last one I had for at least 8 years and I iron weekly. It did finally stop heating up. I figure that is quite a long life span. This new iron does great. Heats up quickly and it has a good weight to it. Not too heavy or too light. Holds plenty of water. The steam boost button is in a tricky spot for me. It’s right where you grip the handle but that’s not enough negative that I would return. The product description states it has a digital display, which this iron does not. But again, not a deterrent for me.I would but again.

Recommended with reservations.
This iron does a nice job of pressing clothes. The tip gets into tight corners, and wrinkles are removed quickly. Unfortunately, the steam setting only works at the highest temperatures. It is easy to fill and heats quickly. It is fairly heavy and my wrist aches with use; the ergonomic design needs to be improved. The setting controls are adjacent to your fingers on the handle, and the heat setting is frequently knocked out of place. Very annoying.

Rowenta Iron review
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The customer service person at Rowenta recommended this model. I ordered it this morning and received it a few hours later. So far, so good. I returned the first two irons because of the steam button. I have not yet used this iron, but I want to go on record as saying that this is not a brandnew iron. The box was taped and damaged and there were water spots on the housing. I am going to try it out in the morning, but I did expect a brandnew, not a previously returned iron. Works well:I can not rate it yet, since I have not yet used it, but the item was definitely not factory new. If it works properly, I will keep it, and I might change my rating, but so far I am disappointed. I obviously received a previously used product.I have now used the iron and I will keep it. It works well - so far, but I still wish I had received a NEW unused iron.

Love it
This is my 3rd Rowenta. Far the best so far. Love the wide stand base.

Very difficult to handle if you’re on the small side.
This iron is huge and difficult to handle if you are on the small side. When ironing my hand hits the spray button, consequently, everything is constantly wet. The iron does emit a good amount of steam, however, the cord is very short and it really not easy to use. Would not buy again.
