Works great! Good flavor.
I’m used to cooking on a Weber Kettle, where I get great results. This takes a bit more skill because the heat is higher, but if you tend to it you’ll get even better result (or at least a more Hibachi-flavored result). For items like veggies, this is superior because it cooks fast and quickly gives them a nice toasty char. The efficiency in charcoal consumption is staggering. I use 1/3 to 1/2 of what I use for a full Weber Kettle and it lasts more than twice as long. In fact, you can cook a meal on this, eat it, and cook a second. My only wish is that there were a way to put out the coals to preserve unburned charcoal. A lid would be required for that.Nicely made. Not super heavy but if it were heavier it would be annoying. Handles are great. I think they struck a great balance here. Couldn’t be happier.

Great little grill.
It did what it was built for; grilled food great. The curved edges don't heat as well as the center of course, so it takes them a couple more minutes to be finished. It's very sturdy & heavy & easy to light & will last many years. It's small & doesn't take up much room. Very easy set up.

Just perfect.
The need: A solid, if not heavy cast iron bbq that can handle the high-heat of lump charcoal, while big enough for tri-tip roasts, and pork tenderloin roasts for two adult appetites -- with the hope for leftovers. I need a product that accommodates no more/less coals that what a standard charcoal chimney can produce. The product also needs integrated handles, that helps move the product inside a few hours after the coals have died away. Finding such a product at retail in a city of 300,000 people wasn't possible. On Amazon, there are just a few products that nicely fit my needs. The result: The Everdure Cast Iron Grill is perfect, and has performed perfectly for me. As luck would have it, the coals last just long enough to cook big, meaty roasts without needing to add coals. I might suggest when cooking roasts, placing aluminum foil atop the roasts (held down by a heavy, damp kitchen towel to keep from it blowing away) will help maintain the moisture of the meat, while helping maintain consistent temperatures during the cooking process. In summary, I couldn't find anything to be critical of related to this product. For me, it's perfect.

solidly built to LAST!!!
this hibachi is meant to become a family heirloom - seriously!!! i’ve gone through countless cheap grocery store hibachi, and two old-fashioned pot belly hibachi (which i loved, until they died). the grocery store ones gave out within one to two years - the flimsy handles and air vent retainers usually were the first to give out. the pot belly ones were awesome at cooking, until each one suffered identical leg fractures (the trupod legs were secured by screws which never gave a secure lock, so the legs would flex and strain.). the grill height adjustments also were weak points, secured with cheap nuts and bolts, admittedly easily replaced, until the supports themselves broke. This Everdure is designed significantly differently. the three legs are integrally cast with the base, which is solidly secured to the main body by two generic bolts/wing nuts. these will probably need replacing every couple of seasons.the air vent door slides on an extension of the base plate, with a “track” created by a retaining lip at the front of the base plate, so no screw-on retaining frame. this does mean the door can slide all the way out, and this needs to be kept in mind if you move the hibachi while it is still hot. the instruction manual includes a warning about this. The fuel door is a new feature for me. again, no flimsy parts to bend or break. two integrally cast fingers on the door fit into two integrally cast sockets in the main body.the grill itself is integrally cast with four legs that allow it to be set either elevated on the legs or sitting flush in the inset at the top of the main body. the legs, when in use, sit in (you guessed it) integrally cast sockets in the main body. As noted by another reviewer, the grill has been cast with a lip around the edge of both the upper and lower grill surfaces.it has heavy duty handles (which probably will be too close to the heat to move without gloves) and a tool for sliding the air vent door and opening/shutting the fuel door. finally, it includes a cover (water resistant medium-hvy duty nylon material with draw string)the whole thing packs into a nice compact unit that has no protruding parts (except for the base legs) - so it stores efficiently.i think it will easily fit 2lb papio whole, or 11-12” length fillets or whole fish; two, maybe three 3/4-1 lb steaks; 4-5 brouchettes; 3 cobs of corn.this is an impressive hibachi - solidly built to last, and i can’t wait to use it!!!

Really Really Nice!!
I love this grill. It is really nice. It was a hard decision for me, but I did return it, unfortunately. I may regret that decision. I've never grilled out on my own before and I wanted something with a lid, if that makes any sense. I love cast iron, and this grill will last a lifetime, not to mention it's portable, which I liked a lot. I may still buy it again when I can. Honestly, I looked at the others that are similar and I think this one is a lot nicer and has better features. For instance, your hot dogs won't fall off the grill, the handles are better, it has a case, no real assembly required. Iron is iron. Take good care of it and you'll have it forever. I know I'll regret returning this. :-/ Anyway, you'll love it if get it.
