Fun AND Educational
Excellent toy! Easy to set up and play with right out of the box. It's pretty straightforward to point it at stuff and twist the eyeball to zoom. I'm sure if we read the directions we'd love it even more.Gave this to our 5yo as a bday gift. He has no trouble scanning random living room objects and seeing them clearly on the TV. Holding it still is the challenge. Our 2yo doesn't quite get it, but enjoys pointing it at stuff and seeing the results.Grandpa was so impressed he went to the store and bought one to keep at their house. It's a 'toy' that's not really a toy. Something you can enjoy whether you have kids or not.Comes w a 6' cord that tethers you to the video port on your tv/monitor/laptop. Does not include batteries. Includes 2 clear 'dishes' to view specimens. The box art is laughable. I can't imagine scanning something farther away than a few inches from the 'eye'. And a spider?! What spider sits idly by while you shine a 6" LED eyeball into its face? Don't plan on live animals going for that.

Very cool for inquisitive minds!
I had purchased one at a box store on clearance for my 6 year old, and when my 65 year old science minded father saw it, it blew his mind. He was like 10 years old examining everything in sight. He was shocked it was under $20. So much so that I bought him this one from Amazon. It can take some practice to find small objects and keep your hand still enough for a clear picture, but the magnification is cool and you will be finding things around the house to magnify. Easy setup, just plug into AV of tv. A fun and very different way to get kids and adults to use the Tv for an educational purpose! Great seller too-- I had a question and they were quick to respond.

Educational toy
Great, educational toy! Lots of fun & laughs seeing magnified images. Takes a bit of time & practice to focus on some items but worth the wait.

Cool toy that even adults will find interesting
Phenomenal toy. My kids are 9 and 10 and love this thing. We play a game where one person hides behind the couch with the eyeclops and the rest of us have to guess whT we are looking at. They are also obsessed with looking at scrapes and cuts or bugs or anything else!Super cool.

Falsely advertised as color, ok but not great.
The product is ok.1. The pictures and box are falsely advertised as color magnification but are in black and white2. The screw-turn focus doesn't work and you actually have to hold the magnifier away from the object you're attempting to zoom.It is a nice, short-lived product that can be used for 8 year olds and under. My wife and I used it a couple of times but it does run its course pretty quick.

Would Buy Again!
My son had this several years ago and it was so much fun for our entire family. Purchased this for my younger nephew this year for Christmas. He totally loved it! So much fun! Worth the money. If your looking for a gift for a curious kid then this is your gift! Hours of fun!!!!!

We bought this for my daughter who has been asking for a microscope. The good news is that it definitely magnifies stuff and has an amazing picture on the tv. Downside as other customers have stated is it’s only an RCA connection so be prepared for that. Also we have noticed that it can be difficult to focus and sometimes if the item you’re looking at isn’t at the exact perfect distance it doesn’t show at all even when using the included plastic containers. Overall a fun gift but a little wonky.
