Good quality
Good quality, and it cuts so smoothly. Only complaint is the measurement sticker was not installed properly so keeps bubbling up despite my attempts to fix it.

Sharp precision
I saw Rosa Kelley using this and had to have it. Middle range price for a good guillotine so no complaints there. Hadn't counted on how much I'd enjoy using it though. Only used the circular rolling trimmers before and I won't be going back to them. I can slice off the finest of slivers and the card keeps a perfect edge. I think they do a larger version but the 12 x12 covers most of my needs

On the whole a good guillotine
The guillotine was well packed and the safety catch secured. The handle does come floating about in the box, so there is a rectangle of plastic that sticks out from the arm, waiting to receive the handle, which clicks into place. Personally it would have been nice to have a softer feel of handle for something that is likely to be used a lot. The guillotine arm, like many others, needs fully lifting to enable the paper to sit squarely against the top edge for trimming. The blade has a good crisp cut, right to the end of the paper length / cutter length and is extremely sharp, make sure to put the blade arm down...don't reach under it . It looks from the underneath that there is a nut to tighten/slacken a spring to let the blade away from the trimmer or pull it closer. There are two things that made me mark the guillotine 4 star instead of 5:-a) There is a protecting covered metal rod that would stop you putting your fingertips under the blade, but there is no finger plate to trap the paper between the plate and base and hold it steady for cutting . This relies solely on the hand span you have and it means the weight is spread only on your finger tips.b) the measuring grid that runs across the middle of the base is simple a cheap bit of transfer that wasn't even stuck down very well and distorted slightly by a rough bit of rigid plastic underneath on the base itself, a bit disappointing for the money. Thus far it is performing well and doing the job, but for me that finger plate to hold the paper down would have made all the difference and made me definitely recommend it over others
