I just ordered my second batch of these, and the first batch sat in my basement for two years with my full intention to "someday" rewire the fluorescent fixtures in my basement, and remove the ballasts. Well we all know how "someday" goes. I ended up waiting until I was semiretired to take on this task. The rewiring was no problem, once I figured out that my particular set up was a bit different from the many YouTube videos-mine had built-in battery backup that had a whole bunch of wires, and it was only after I figured that out that I was able to install these tubes. Once done, they work perfectly! They are extremely bright, and the light is a very cool temperature which is really what I wanted in my basement. They make absolutely no noise, which is contrasted by the fluorescent lights with their ballasts that were there previously. If you are waiting to do this "someday", take my word for it-it's a much easier task than you might be anticipating, and you could probably have a first fluorescent fixture complete in about half an hour, and then once you know what you're doing, about 15 minutes for subsequent fixtures. You might as well make "someday" this coming weekend!

Originally, we received two of the twelve lights damaged (not through shipment). Once I reached the manufacturer, the lights were not only replaced but replaced four instead of two. The lights work great! It's so nice now to walk into my kitchen and have the whole kitchen light up when I throw the switch instead of a dim lighting with only part of the lights lighting. No more expensive ballasts replacements and the bulbs are no where near as expensive as the fluorescent. JESLED is a great company to use if your replacing your fluorescent bulbs with LEDs!

This appears to be a fine product. It was well packed for shipping. The lamps are nice and bright. I liked the 6000 deg K color temperature. I prefer the "daylight" color for my workshop. The frosting on the lens is smooth and even. You can't see individual LED hotspots. I already removed my balasts. At that time I only wired one end of the lamp sockets. With this product it doesn't matter which way I install the lamps because they don't care which end is powered. It always gets power. I will purchase more of these as my 9 year old LED tubes die off.

I have two light fixtures of 4 each 48 inch Fluorescent light tubes in my basement. I've become disenchanted with replacing the Fluorescent light tubes over the months and years, not knowing which ones are still good because they work in a series of two - that is, two good ones must be plugged in to get them both to light. So I bought JESLED 4FT LED T8 Type A+B Tube Lights. I went onto Youtube to get suggestions on the installation. One presentation recommended turning off the electric, fiddling around with the ballasts, and bypassing them with some "elaborate" rewiring. I noted that the JESLED LED T8 Type lights claim to be "plug and play." So I took off the protective plastic ends of the LED tubes that protect the two pins and put them into the sockets where the Fluorescent tubes were placed - and "voilà!" Let there be light!!! Yes, they are "plug and play," to my relief. So I immediately ordered four more JESLED 4FT LED T8 Type A+B Tube Lights. I researched: "What is the Difference Between T8 LED and T8 Fluorescent Bulbs?" and discovered: (1) LED T8 consume around 30% less power than fluorescent T8; (2) T8 LED bulbs can last 50,000 to 100,000 hours while fluorescent T8 tubes last just 30,000 to 50,000 hours (my fluorescent T8 tubes got nowhere near that length of service time); (3) LEDs are mercury-free, while fluorescent lights contain mercury (bad for the environment and cause disposal concerns); (4) the color rendering of LED is better and brighter than fluorescent; and (5) LEDs are “instant on,” fluorescents are not. On the negative side, the LEDs are rather more expensive than fluorescent, but with the energy savings, the disposal advantage, and the length of expected service, I will take my chances. If it is not so, I will follow up later. Right now, I am very pleased with my purchase.

If you have a starter in your light this is not for you, you will have to direct wire it, but with a rapid start ballast this just goes in like the old bulb and, super bright !!

great plug and play no need to take old transformer out

I replaced my florescent tubes in my tack room with these. They didn't require any special wiring, and provide much better lighting than the original tubes.
