Vintage Rainbow Blanket Crochet Kit – all-inclusive gift for crochet lovers

Lovely kit with simple to follow instructions. Should make a lovely blanket. My only gripe is my worry that the blanket will be a lot smaller than expected if I follow the instructions exactly. Which leads to my worry that there won’t be enough wool to make a decent sized blanket.I have now finished the number of rows the pattern calls for and can definitely say it does come up small. In a blanket that’s not such a big issue and I do know I hold more tension in my yarn then most. On the plus side there’s loads of the coloured wool left so I am just going to carry on repeating till I get my desired length and then will probably add extra rows on the sides of the blanket to widen it. The only problem I anticipate is having enough of the grey. I will keep everyone updated on the progress and if I feel brave enough will post aPicture of the final product.March 2020 finally has me finishing the blanket. I can now definitely say there is more than enough wool. I did the edge on the sides different to what the pattern called for to ensure I had enough grey left. The final product is 103cm wide and 195cm length. I have put a picture of it up spread on the bed before I blocked it. Hopefully the recipient enjoys and likes it. Now to decide what to do with the rest of the wool!

Bought this after having taught myself via YouTube how to crochet during lockdown ! Took the kit away with me in the campervan and had a great time finishing the blanket. Just the border to do now. Lovely colours and stitch effect. Instructions are very clear and good for beginners. Have really enjoyed making the blanket and loads of wool left over for other projects. Will def buy from this seller again.

I had some Amazon vouchers for my birthday so I decided to treat myself to the kit. I am absolutely delighted with my purchase. It arrived in less than 24 hours and that evening I began to crochet. I am finding the instructions very clear and easy to follow and the blanket is quick to grow. The wool is very nice quality and easy to handle and I'm really enjoying the pattern. The kit arrived well packaged and as i opened it there was a 'thank you tag, tea, and 2 packets of 'Love hearts, which did make me smile and make my purchase more personal and special. I was so impressed i shared it to a crochet group and others are now wanting to buy.I think it is very good value and not only do you have the pleasure in making it but also years of enjoying your finished product.

This blanket kit was received as a Xmas gift - I have never crocheted before. With the help of you tube tutorials and clear instructions in the kit I completed the blanket in 4 weeks. It is a little smaller than indicated in pattern and there was a lot of yarn left, so I made another blanket! Beautiful colours, lovely little touches included with the kit, really impressed! Now a crochet addict!

Good quality yarn, good instructions, quite an expensive way of buying yarn though

I bought this kit so that I could make a blanket for a relative. The yarns arrived in a lovely see through drawstring bag and I was even sent some little goodies. The actual yarn feels really nice. The instructions were very simply to follow, but for a beginner, there are even video links. There are only 3 stitches used throughout but the result is a delightful blanket. What is more, apart from the grey contrast colour, I only used half of each ball. Therefore with the addition of a few more yarns from my stash, I am currently working on a second blanket. In addition to all of this, I learned how to do magic knots to avoid loads of sewing in of ends and they really work. Brilliant!!! Would definitely buy from these sellers again.

I decided to take up crochet again not having done it since my teens and never having done a big “project”. This comes with everything you need (perfect for a beginner who has nothing) and some thoughtful touches too. Easy to understand instructions and plenty of wool supplied. I actually decided to add an extra round of colours to increase the length and do a rainbow border too and had enough wool including the grey for all of it. Have learnt a huge amount from doing this and inspired to do other projects. Brilliant, thank you.

The package was lovely and very well presented.Although I feel the seller should change the description as this is definitely not for beginners. I already knit and thought this would be the perfect way to start crochet. The instruction leaflet was not usable at all for a beginner to understand and after a large amount of you tube videos was required to even start the basics, a beginner would struggle to crochet this blanket. After much frustration I have given the wool to my mum and no blanket. Therefore this has worked out to be a very expensive bag of wool. I was happy to pay the extra on the understanding of easy instructions and lots of understandable beginners terms and thought this package would be worth the extra cost. This was not the case and very disappointed on the wrong advertisement
