I may never go back to our countertop coffee pot.
Will only make enough coffee for two people, but is a joy to use. I've made coffee in it every day since I got it and I've had no problems. If you're like me and like a scalding hot cup of coffee, this thing is for you. Also, the longer you percolate, the smoother the flavor. I let mine go about 5 minutes before I turn the heat off. Tastes great.

Pros and cons...
Pros: it makes a good cup of hot coffee. MEDIUM heat until it starts to perc, then turn down, my preference is for 5 minutes. Let sit a minute or two before pouring so any grounds settle. About half way between the min and max water level is approx 2-12 oz mugs of coffee using 2-1/8 c scoops. Its a sturdy, quality pot and the handle doesn't burn you as long as you keep it away from the heat. Cons: IT NEEDS A BOROSILICATE GLASS KNOB!!! Few people want the dang plastic and I'm currently looking for one to fit! For the price it runs, it needs a glass knob! The base needs to be a bit wider, on my butane stove if not positioned exactly it tips due to narrow width. Currently using a basket filter with hole punched in the middle to catch grounds.

Works well for our camper
Needed this for the camper. Perfect!

Works perfectly. Needed to tinker with timing to get the taste right.
The percolator works perfectly. I only leave it percolating a minute or two longer than what is recommended for my flavor preference. So far it has had no issues on a glass stove, only some weird sounds as it gets closer to boiling.

Nice quality
Summary: Nice quality. Could be better.I give this a 5 star rating for meeting expectations. The craftsmanship is great. No flaws. Good design.I opted for the v2 design. I'm glad I did. I like the new handle design. The silicone grip easily slides off the handle for ease of cleaning as well as preventing melting when used on some stoves. Unfortunately, such detail was not updated when it came to the percolator knob on the lid. The percolator knob is still resin which means you can potentially melt the knob if used directly on a campfire. The quality is very nice, but the thickness of the steel used on the kettle could be thicker. When I read 18/8 steel construction, I'm assuming it's on par with the gauge of steel used on my kitchen pots. This seems not the situation. You can flex the steel when squeezing kettle. A task I can not do with my other kitchen pots. However, even though I can easily flex the steel, it does hold form and seems good quality. Still, I would have preferred thicker steel used during construction. This kettle will certainly not survive being dropped or stepped on in harsh conditions. The spout can easily be dented if dropped on it's side. That could have been improved if the spout had a rolled lip. Small details which may have made the kettle more rugged. That being said, I am impressed with the overall construction. It's well made. It's light weight for those who care about weight. I would have preferred a heavier kettle with stronger construction. No sharp edges including the non-rolled spout lip. The percolator knob is threaded, which is nice. It can be removed for easy cleaning. However I'm not sure if it's a replaceable item or if the thread on the knob is a standard size such that it can be replaced with a glass knob.

Nope. Not happy.
Came today without a basket for the coffee as advertised. I called Stanley THREE TIMES and they couldn't find the item/serial number that I read to them from the bottom of the pictured percolator. Whatever serial number is on the coffee percolator I purchased, is unknown to Stanley. They told me to go back to Amazon. Never mind.I didn't have time because I left for camping the next day. This purchase was a waste of money.
