Works as advertised

My PS3 is the original release Fat boy model I bought in 2006, going on 19 ears ago. While both my original PlayStation OEM controllers work, they held a charge for 20-30 minutes at most. I picked up these batteries was please to see it came with ever you need, screwdriver and pry bar tool...no need to even go to my workbench.It's mostly a simple installation, the battery fits as well as the original. Getting the R2 and L2 buttons back in are probably the hardest part.So far I've play multiple hours of NFS Carbon without needing a recharge...so that is what I call a successful product!

These are bigger than some batteries that are in a ps3 controller. I replaced 2 batteries in PS3 controller models CECHZC2U. The first one I replaced had a small blue battery, but the second one had a battery about the same size. It would be great if this came with the bracket/new tape to secure the battery to the circuit board. The one that had the smaller blue battery was secured by some tape and it wasn't that sticky when being ripped off. The other controller had a bracket that secured the battery to the circuit board and this battery fit exactly in it. It was difficult to keep the battery in place without new tape or a bracket to keep it in place and not cover the reset button.The first order of these batteries lasted about a couple months and then they would not hold a charge again. I exchanged those for another set and these have arrived fully charged and hopefully will last longer. The connection was an exact replacement of the OEM so it fit really nicely. A part of the 3 star review is the tools that it came with. Most screwdrivers that are sent with things are just a cheap one piece driver. This one is nice because you can keep pressing down on the top of it and the screwdriver will continue to rotate and spin with just using your fingers. You don't have to rotate your wrist at all. The usb cable is also long enough to charge and play at the same time from a decent distance. I think the cable is 5-6 feet long (I probably should have measured it.)

Easy to install and work good. I had some controllers that only lasted an hour and these last a couple days.

I ordered these to replace the old batteries in my PS3 DS controllers. They seem to fit and function. I never find the installation of new batteries in these easy, but these were par. So far they seem to charge and last better than the ones they replaced... but not quite as good as the original ones.I am rating these batteries four stars, as they fit, work, and charge without issue yet. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...

They fit and worked as expected.
