Best option for large areas
I'd bought a lot of these previously from a other aupplier, around 96 to fill my huge almost 5 meter wall! I run shy by about 15 panels so I ordered some more from this supplier, and like the others, they were in compressed bags that squashed the foam down an incredible amount. After leaving them about 48 hours most had uncompressed fully but about 4 were still literally as flat as a pancake. I threw them in the bath, hosed them down with the shower, then rung them out and left them to dry in the conservatory. Within a few hours they had uncompressed to their full form factor and about a week later I glued them into place completing my full wall overlay. As a bonus these came with little sticky pads however I didn't use them for this because I used spray adhesive. Now I just have a ton of spare sticky squares which I'll find useful one day.Overall very happy with these but I will say before buying something like this, just research Into them. They dont sound proof, that's not what they're designed for, also and they arrive super compressed; it's perfectly normal. I see a lot of bad reviews based on ignorance of the product in question, and there is no exception here. These are 1 inch foam panels and are the cheapest option, especially for large areas such as mine but they're not super dense sponge more like a cheap foam bath sponge really. Even so, I'm pretty happy with the result and the cost it took to achieve it

Squashed flat - beyond salvage, and adhesive is hopeless.
Don't waste your money.Firstly, they arrived so vacuum compressed they were paper thin. The information sheet that came with them advised to leave them for 2 or 3 days to regain their shape. A full week later, about a quarter of them still hadn't and several weeks later, are still as flat as pancakes. The instructions stated that if they didn't regain their shape, to soak them in water. What - with a self adhesive backing?! I'm sure that'd do the adhesive a world of good. Suffice to say, I didn't. Turns out that advice is for non-adhesive ones.Which brings me to the 2nd point. 3 or 4 weeks on and most of them have peeled away from the wall surface they were adhered to. Some, more than once.Still, I was trying to save a bit of cash. But lesson learned. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.Thoroughly disappointed. Don't buy. Waste of time and money.

Be aware: vacuum packed.
The media could not be loaded. The foam panels themselves are fine. The problem is that they're vacuum packed. So when they arrive, they're like squares of cloth. You could dust the coffee table with them. The manual included tells you to use one of 2 methods to aerate the foam panels and get them to take shape, after having been vacuum packed. One is to leave them in a ventilated room for 48hrs. Aside from the fact that this was a dubious idea because I couldn't guarantee they'd fill out properly on their own, I couldn't be bothered to wait 48hrs just to put these panels on the wall. So I went with the other option below. The second method was to put them into a bath or sink of warm water, let the sponge foam soak the water and the panels will take shape, and puff up. Great. It works. They take shape instantly. The problem is that despite going through the tumble dryer twice and having received the hair dryer treatment twice, they were still damp. For a day or two, they still had such a small amount of water in them that I couldn't wring any of it out physically, yet it persisted. You press them and you see pockets of water, but can't wring it out. It's currently early June, with very warm weather, and I was using the hair dryer on them in a small box room, so the ambient temperature must have been approaching 30°C and they still were not dry even having left them in a cupboard where a hairdryer had been going for 20-30 minutes. So I ended up sticking them in the shed for an hour in direct sunlight. Worked a treat, but bear in mind that if you're not drying these panels out in a shed/greenhouse on one of the warmest days of the year you're going to have issues. If you do buy them, chuck them in a cupboard, DRY, for a week instead, and pray that they aerate and fill out properly on their own.I once bought this same foam panel stuff from a different seller a year or so ago, and it came boxed and I was able to mount them straight away, so the vacuum packing of these panels is really the main downside. The panels themselves are fine, and they include 120 little plastic double sided sticky squares for mounting, so it will save you the cost of any tape or mounting spray.I initially gave a much lower review score in the middle of the irritation of drying these out but now it's all sorted I'm happy. Just beware of drying these out if you use the water method.

Just what was looking for
Purchased to put behind dartboard to act as a cushion and to dampen the dart thud..Very happy with the result.

They ok but can be better
Bought them to insulate my music and streaming room, it helped but it’s not completely sound proof. There is no glue or adhesive at the backing, so to stick them on the walls so you’ll have to get spray adhesive or 3m two sided sticking mat or tape

Not what i expected. Half of them were as this has paper so had to throw them away.

Very poor quality.
Left for over 48 hours and about half of them are unusable, flat and out of shape. Very poor quality and wouldn't buy again. I now don't have enough to finish the wall I bought them for as they are unusable and don't look like the pictures. Very disappointed.

Rubbish - Don’t Bother Ordering
Absolutely rubbish items - do not waste your money - do not stick and do not expand - rubbish quality and do not do the job they say they do. I am still waiting for a refund of the 10 boxes I ordered and immediately returned !!

Works really well
Set up was very easy...peel and place. brick texture is nice looking. Adds character to a blank wall as well as dim the noise going out or coming in.

Pricey
These are sticking perfectly well to my bare plywood door: great to reduce the noise thru that simple, thin door. More than $3 per square foot seem awfully high, though.

Functional and decorative wall panels
These sound absorbing wall panels look much better than I expected. The appearance is similar to subway tile, but the polyester fiber material is more porous than tile. The light grey color looks great, it really adds a textural dimension to the space. The panels are simple to install, and they adhere very well. I didn’t need to use any pre backing adhesive, I just placed the panels on my office wall. The 12” X 12” panels are just under a half inch thick, fairly dense, and they’re easy to work with. They seem to effectively dampen sound, my room acoustics are much improved, from only 12 panels. At around $39 for a pack of 12, they’re a good value, certainly an option worth considering. I’m very pleased with these functional and decorative wall panels. Highly recommended!
