CitizenEco-Drive Men's Mickey Astronaut Stainless Steel Watch, Red and Black Bezel, (Model: AW1709-54W)

I had concerns if this was a counterfeit bc of the price range of various retailers. I no longer have those concerns. 1st Mickey. Wish the back plate was not askew. Very much a fan of the bracelet & clasp. The dial is deeper than appears in photos giving it a bit more depth (which is fun for star hunting in complete darkness) The bevel does not rotate, 1 piece with the casing. Solid heft. Looks pretty sweet when the 3 hands line up. And the date complexion is snappy fast. Not enough frame rate in my eyes to catch it. Ecodrive - its been ticking nonstop. Enjoy your doomscrolling.

The MM Astronaut arrived. The band lugs are 22mm separation and the band uses standard split pins rather than the pins and collars used in many other Citizen watch metal bands so band resizing is easy with the right tools. My digital calipers say the diameter is more like 45.8mm rather than the Amazon listed 42mm. Diameter including the crown is 49.1mm and top to bottom of the lugs is 51mm so this is a large watch. Thickness is 11 mm and the crystal is 36.5mm diameter.IMO the artwork is great, the best I have seen on a Disney watch. Weight after band resizing is 5.3 ounces. Overall an impressive watch but large enough so it may be oversized for smaller wrists.

This is a great watch. I love the quality and the feel of wearing it. The hand painted bezel art is very nice. A great watch in my opinion.

I had an old Mickey Mouse chronograph that I purchased during a visit to Disney World many years ago. Unfortunately, it stopped working and I've been wanting a replacement Mickey watch. I spotted this one and seeing that it was made by Citizen affirmed to me it's overall quality. Further, the astronaut theme reminded me of one of my very first wrist watches as a child that depicted an astronaut doing a spacewalk around his capsule. Since then, I've always been a "watch-guy". The design is very detailed and colorful. As such, it does make the hands a bit harder to read. The incorporation of the date window into a design element of the background image is a great addition. The watch back cover is askew by over 90 degrees. This isn't a big deal but it is not as depicted on the sales image. I most certainly could remove it and attempt to reclose it so that the Disney logo is level across the back but I'm hesitant as I don't want to affect the back seal. I expected the metal band to have a bit more weight to it. I'm sure some folks prefer a lighter band but I don't mind a bit more heft in mine. The band is easily shortened as long as you have the appropriate tools for a nice custom fit. As another reviewed noted, the bezel DOES NOT rotate. This is not a big deal to me but might be to others. The glow in the dark details are quite brilliant, fun, and quite bright when charged with a strong white light. I can't speak to the length of illumination. The packaging arrived a bit damaged. If I had intended this as a gift, that would have been problematic. The manufacturer's box flap was ripped as if it had been previously opened. I'm not sure that this watch wasn't a return from another customer. Typically, a new watch will have protective peel-off plastic on the crystal and often the watch back as well. This had neither. Boxes are often taped shut as well to prove there was no tampering and no such tape was in place on the packaging. The watch was otherwise pristine, so I didn't bother with a return for an exchange. I'm overall pleased but I'm glad I purchased this on sale and at considerably less than the MSRP.

Great Citizen Eco-Drive quality with a whimsical theme. You can never go wrong with an Eco-Drive watch or Disney!To address the review that said this watch has "no fine adjustment capability", there are two sets of holes in the clasp to connect the band to. This allows for the size adjustment of a half link. Those two holes in the clasp can be seen in the photos provided in the description of this watch.
