Really works!
Hello, let me start by saying, that for the money this is a handy little tool. We carry this and our service kit to check electrical panels for automation from high heat relays. We have a machine well over $2,000 that we can carry but this little device will fit in your shirt pocket it's not as accurate but it definitely shows you the hot spots.

Great results at an affordable price!
I'm a little surprised at how well this worked! I never thought I could get into thermal imaging at such a low price. I'm not a professional, mind you, but it is great to visualize where the hot and cold spots are in my RV so I can figure out how to address them. I'm very happy with it.

This thing is CRAAAZZZYYYY!!!!
This thing is so cool. It's supposed to be a tool for my husband but I can't stop playing with it. I blame topped on because it plugs right in my phone and all I had to do was download an app. I plugged it right in and I got to walking around. I have in-floor radiant heat in the garage. It looks awesome. I have cold feet. My husband has warm feet. You can see where I'm going with this.... This thing is just bonkers. Honestly, it's a super useful tool. <eye roll> Blah blah blah. But it's also freaking awesome aaaannnnddddd it is kept me entertained for hours. I've looked at trees, rafters, walls, animals, people. It never ends! I would recommend that everyone get one if you can. Wait for the sale though if you are just going to be ridiculous like I am and look at everything with it. Maybe I'll get one for my husband if they have another sale... 🤔

Counterfiet???
Paid $299.00 In Jan. 2024 and used it once, was getting ready to use it in the way I bought it (Computer Diagnostics & moisture detection) and it wouldn't work so I decided to do some research and noticed that Top Don had a serial number authenticity check and I thought what the heck and entered the serial and it came up "no record". Tried at least 3 times thinking maybe I entered it wrong, but every time it came up no record of my serial number. So basically didn't even use it and I guess I'm SOL.UPDATE: TopDon got back to me and addressed my situation by telling me the product authenticity check page had been updated so I checked again and it does in fact show authentic. Also the app I was using (TC001) was not recommended and to use "Topinfrared" instead, and after downloading everything works as it should. My only thought is, if the TC001 app is not recommended, why is it even available for download? Especially when it's name is the same as my product. I will try that before any other app just to find it doesn't work correctly. But that was just my experience, I'm sure it could work fine for others. The phone I use is the Samsung Galaxy ZFold 5.

Always wanted a thermal camera and this delivers!
I debated for over a week on which thermal camera to buy. I settled on this one and I'm very happy with my choice. I ended up going with it because it's powered off of my phone rather than needing to be charged separately like some competitors, and the resolution was better at a similar price point.I attached a few photos that demonstrate what it's capable of. In one, you can see the heated seats in my truck - it has enough thermal resolution to see the elements themselves under the leather. In another, you can see the uninsulated cover to access my attic and how it's clearly much colder than the rest of the ceiling. In the third, you can see that the tall older wood windows in my house are much less efficient than the smaller newer vinyl replacements. In the final image, I've shown one of the different color scale options that I think is very helpful to find hot spots.I like that it points out the highest and lowest temperature in an image as well as the center. Those numbers aren't necessarily completely accurate, but they're close - for example, in the photo of the front of the house it was about 0 outside, so the windows showing -11 are probably reading a bit low. I'm not super concerned with that given I'm really just looking for trends. The Top Infrared app is easy enough to use and allows taking both video and photos. If you have a phone case, a small USB-C extension adapter is helpful rather than relying on a cable or removing the case. It will not connect with a case because the plug can't insert fully. One competitor thought of this and designed an extendable USB-C connection to deal with it - it would be nice if Topdon had done the same, but an adapter works okay for me.I've found some places where I have work to do with improving insulation around the house, and frankly it's just a lot of fun to play with. I absolutely recommend this thermal camera.
