Part of an attractive, high rising loaf
This is my second container of the vital wheat gluten. I use it to replace a small part of flour in bread machine breads, especially whole wheat recipes. It promotes a fluffier, higher rising loaf compared to 100% whole wheat flour, so the loaves aren't quite as sturdy and dense, which in my opinion is a good thing. Obviously this wouldn't be recommended to anybody intolerant of gluten, but I'm not intolerant and i really appreciate the difference it makes in my bread that's made with no weird chemicals. Sliced uniformly with an electric slicer, it makes delicious sandwiches and toast.

Great for making your breads rise.
Vital Wheat Gluten is what you can use to help breads rise when you use low gluten flour, like rye or wheat. It’s also used to make Seitan, a vegan meat substitute.I use it to make bread that rises well, and looks great. There is no flavor to it in bread. It is gluten, so if you have gluten sensitivity, or Celiac disease, you should look for an alternative.The texture and quality are very good from this manufacturer. It came in a plastic container, so you don’t have to worry about it ripping, and lose of product.

Great Addition to My Bread Baking
This stuff works great in my bread machine. The loaves come out with a bit lighter texture and better rise without any change in taste. I use it now on everything.
