This is a good, solid hitch ball. However, you may find it difficult to tighten the hex nut all the way to compress the lock washer, as the ball easily moves while you're trying to tighten it. Many hitch balls out there have straight edges at the base of the ball so that you can grip with pliers while you tighten the nut. This doesn't have a straight edge.So, to tighten the nut, place a rubber gasket (or rubber pot holder) over the ball and in one hand use large pliers to squeeze the ball while you use your wrench in the other hand to tighten the nut. This should avoid the ball from rotating while you tighten.

Seems to be well made and easy to install. Worked as it should and a good value.

Needed a trailer hitch ball with longer shank, and this one did the trick.

The picture shows a black chrome ball hitch and so,,,,,,I ordered one. What I received was a normal, everyday, run of the mill chrome ball hitch. Not a black one like the picture depicts. I double checked my order because I knew I paid more than what a normal ball hitch costs and that’s when I noticed that the description states chrome ball hitch with a much darker black chrome hitch illustrated underneath the description. I could have gone down to Lowe’s and picked one up for half the price. Ultimately, my mistake.

Much to pretty to mess up using it. I’m astonished by how smooth and shiny it is. Chrome Art.

The only thing to improve this product would be to have and wrench section at the base of the ball. Otherwise as expected. Good quality
