I had two new gray hair out of no where, so decided to look for an all natural way to cover and prevent. I mixed this w/ half part henna and black tea. I let it sit overnight (as I read this releases the henna and color). And then let the mixture sit on my hair overnight. I don't know if it needs that long, but I had the time so decided to do that. Rinsed the next morning to black soft hair and the two grays gone. I tried other brands of indigo henna and my hair my still left a dark ashy brown and it didn't cover those two grays. I've already ordered a few more boxes of this brand to keep on hand as I plan to use it every 6 wks or so for preventative. This will definitely be a staple for me!

I have been dying my hair with henna for many years. Recently I have been trying different henna brands. I will give this brand 5 stars thus far (I dyed my hair last night). I have read a lot of the previous reviews and some people were disappointed. The instructions on the box should be rewritten. With henna you have to activate the henna for the dye to release. It's not going to work if you apply the henna right away. In a big bowl add the henna then I added cooled black tea (made with distilled water), salt, and a squeeze of lemon to the henna, mix well after each ingredient, cover the bowl with plastic wrap. I let the henna sit 4 hours (the dye will release). In another bowl I added the indigo and some of the cooled black tea, mix well. You then add the indigo to the henna and mix well. Now the henna is ready to be applied to your hair. I applied the henna to my hair once done I wrapped my head with plastic wrap. I let the henna sit on my hair for 3 hours. Then you wash with water only no shampoo. After 3 days the color will enhance then you can use shampoo if you want to wash your hair.

I bought this combo for my gray hair and I don't have a lot to cover. I am from India and I know very well how henna works on hair. This powder left no color whatsoever, not even the slightest yellow or orange tinge that a typical henna powder leaves even the worst of any kind. So, I am not sure what kind of powder is this or what happened during its processing or maybe the indigo powder combo dilutes the henna effect. I used the ratio of both as mentioned on the box for dark brown. It does smell like henna but the coloring effect is nowhere near the typical henna powder. Very disappointed, as hair coloring with henna is a laborious process, not to mention the smell in the house and waste of my time with zero results. Would not recommend for coloring.

I am thoroughly impressed by this product. I rarely leave product reviews, but this one deserves it. I've been using henna on my hair for over 10 years and have tried numerous henna products, both at home and in salons. Typically, henna leaves streaks of orange, red, or light brown in my hair. However, this product is a game changer. After using it, my hair turned a deep, uniform color with no streaks. My hair is naturally black, but other henna products always left traces of red and orange. I had almost given up on restoring my natural black color since I’m allergic to regular hair dye. This product not only restored my natural black hair color but also covered my grays exceptionally well. It is hands down the best henna product I have ever used.

It tastes good and makes you feel good. I definitely feel relaxed when I drink this.
