Awesome
Yes, as others have posted this will rub off on clothing - but is washes out - though not great on our white sun shirts at the collar. We used this for 10 days in the Galapagos - and didn’t get burned at all. The best sun protection is clothing - so we reserved this for our faces, necks and hands, and 1 bald head. We hiked and snorkeled and it stays on MUCH better than traditional sunscreen and needs to be washed/rubbed off.I would not suggest this if you are wanting to lay out at a pool or beach - it’s going to take a lot to cover torso and legs. But for active trips in environmentally sensitive areas it is perfect.

The best sunblock ever
I had picked up a sample of this sunblock at a convention and found that it worked really well. As a mineral based product, there is no need to put a ton of this on for it to be effective. I am very pale and burn very easily, even with 50 SPF products. This sunblock is 30 SPF and I had my doubts. Once I applied this in a thin layer as directed, I instantly felt cooler. It lasts a long time in the water and does not wipe off easily with a towel (good when you are spending hours on the beach or a boat). I did not burn at all using this product. I have now made Stream2Sea the only sunblock that I use. It's wonderful that they are reef safe as many places are banning other sunblocks with harmful ingredients. All of their packaging is biodegradable as well and is made with a plant based plastic material. I highly recommend their products.

Reef safe and effective sun protection- rubs off on everything you touch
I bought this product to wear while snorkeling in the Caribbean. I thoroughly read reviews and was excited to find a brand that protected the reefs while still providing sun protection. I paid for rushed delivery and was on my way to the ocean! While on the boat headed to the reefs, my sister and I started applying the product. We found it to be very thick and while we appreciated that it was tinted so that we would not look completely covered in white paste, it also got brown stains on our clothes, shoes and bathing suit (it does come out in the wash.) It doesn't completely rub into your skin so you're stuck trying not to touch anything with your skin and leaving brown smudges all over the boat. We have paler skin so our hands were stained after applying the lotion. Although, my sister noted that it made her look tanner which was a perk to her. While we were snorkeling we noticed how much of the reef was bleached. I'd guess over 85% of the reef we went to was bleached from constant tourists being brought there to snorkel and ruining the reef with their sunscreen. It made me feel guilty for the regular sunscreen I had applied to my shoulders after I tired of the sticky brown sunscreen. Conclusion: buy a long sleeve shirt to wear when snorkeling to cut down on the amount of sunscreen you need to apply. You'll still need to apply some sunscreen but the shirt will help. Just make sure to lather up after you've finished snorkeling.

Doing what I can for our oceans
Ok, so STS products are a little bit pricey, but in my opinion they're worth it. I am a scuba diver and have seen how we are impacting the oceans - obviously one product isn't going to save the world, but we can do what we can, when we can, right? I try to cover up instead of using sunscreen, but when I really need it, I'll only use reef-safe sunscreen. I previously got this tinted sunscreen as a sample and thought I would hate it, but I actually like it better than the non-tinted mineral sunscreens. The sample I had left stains on everything, but this one is better (you can still see the color rub off, but it washes off way more easily). I don't know if the formula was changed or I just had a sample that was too old. It also seems to blend into the skin a lot better (it's not as orangey looking). I'd say it lasts about the same as non-mineral sunscreen, so remember to reapply regularly. If you've never tried mineral sunscreen, it takes some getting used to, but overall, I am very happy with this product.

Does not irritate eyes
I love this tinted sunscreen. When rubbed in well, the cream doesn't really tint; it just gives the skin a kind of softness. (Hard to describe.) For me, the best feature is that it doesn't irritate my eyes, which my previous sunscreen did! I'm now using this not just for sun-filled vacations, but every day, under my makeup. And of course the eco-friendly feature is a plus, too. ❤️

Tint/color is horrible
We bought this sunscreen to be more natural in the products we use and when my husbandPut it on his face, he looked like he was wearing a clay mask and it would not blend no matter how much he tried. I highly don’t recommend

Brown, Stains Clothes, and THICK
Update: The seller contacted me following my review and was very polite, offering to make it right. Really great customer service. This tinted sunscreen wasn’t for me, but I’d consider trying the non-tinted from this brand. For the record, the sunscreen did work and I didn’t burn.Original review: We brought this on vacation for using at the beach/snorkeling, and we ended up avoiding this sunscreen like the plague. The big problem is the tinted factor. The sunscreen is brown (and also very thick—too thick). It gets on clothes and turns them brown at the edges. It took some work to scrub it off my yellow swim suit top. We couldn’t get it off his ball cap, the only one he brought. It also doesn’t absorb great, so things you touch will be impacted as well. It’s great that it’s reef safe and likely pretty effective—but I wouldn’t fool with it.
