Perfect for the job
I have a Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener that's older than the 8 years I've owned this house, but young enough to have red and blue wires. When the capacitor fried, I took a pic of the specs with my phone and matched them to this capacitor. I've installed it and we have a fully operational garage again. I am pleased.

Early failure
Worked perfectly at first on my garage door, then failed less than 6 months into service. No capacitance and there’s a little black tendril growing out of the white plug at the top.
