We've tried to get away from plastics, so instead of taking bottled water to work, my husband takes his own ice water in an insulated bottle. I got this set of double-wall cups for him to drink from. He said that he poured some ice water into the cup, walked away, and came back a half hour later, and there was still ice in the cup. Maybe that doesn't impress you, but it was in 100 degree Texas heat, outdoor! So, I definitely recommend these cups. The handle allows for a four finger grip instead of other cups or mugs where you can only get two or three fingers in there. It's a beautiful cup; the stainless steel is good quality and the weight is ideal: not too light and not too heavy. They come with beautiful, quality lids, but I wouldn't depend on them being leak proof because they don't screw on and there is no gasket of any sort. Nor have we tried this for coffee because we specifically bought it for ice water. I'd recommend this product.

Good product!

These are shiny steel mugs with a lid that fits well, but not well enough to use as a travel mug. The lid does not screw on, it sits snugly inside the mug. The side walls don't have much space between, so the mug loses heat quickly. They're useful but I hope a true screw-on lid can be created for those trying to get a non-plastic coffee travel mug.

The lid is so loose it is a joke

I wanted a mug with a lid so it would keep my tea hot. The metal does the job well and with the lid on, it's still warm after an hour (warm, not hot, buy a thermos if you want hot). Would be nice for the handle to be a bit thicker. The handle stay cool. The lid fits well to insulate and doesn't slid off easily but it's not a screw-top like a thermos lid. It's obvious that if knocked over, the contents will spill out. The size of the mug is nice at 14 oz., large but not too huge, washes in the dishwasher, easier cleaning than a thermos. I highly recommend this.

I actually use this in the office. I wanted something that wasn’t plastic but had a lid to keep my coffee from cooling too quickly and this did the trick!

Probably a great gift idea for camping, but I was looking for a much tighter lid.
