The easiest way to fix a water leak
I recently purchased the garden hose shut off valve and I must say I am extremely pleased with its performance. The valve is well-built, durable, and easy to use. It effectively controls the water flow, allowing me to easily switch between different hoses or control the water pressure. The ergonomic design makes it comfortable to grip and turn, even with wet hands. I highly recommend this garden hose shut off valve to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient solution for controlling water flow in their garden.

Very well made and Easy operation
This is a great product that is clearly well made. It opens and closes the valve very easily and no extra effort is needed to ensure it closes properly and stays that way. It's a heavy duty piece and much better quality than the typical ones you find in the garden areas at the big orange home improvement store. You're more likely to find something similar in the plumbing department a higher price. The only downside for me is the handle is fairly long and it makes it difficult to get the winter weather "boot" over the faucet. No you might say, well take it off first- but I got it because the faucet drips. That is a me problem though. Definitely recommend this product!

Very east to turn ball valve
Needed to add a new valve to an existing valve that I could not easily replace. Capped the valve stem opening and added this ball valve to the hose opening and works great. Very smooth and easy on/off with quarter turn. No leaks with the valve open or shut. An older similar ball valve I had would leak when in the open position under pressure I think due to the ball being right up against the washer and somehow allowing water around the input side washer. Flow seems plenty, I think it’s about a 5/8” opening thru the ball so good flow rate. We will see how well it holds up here.

Not durable
The product is a great idea, but durability was lacking. Within 3 months of use, the valve body developed a hairline crack that leaks. You can see it in the photo at my thumb. I suppose this is from the valve striking the ground when the water hose is dropped. No freezing weather was involved. I reached out to the manufacturer via email for any support, and received no response. I'll buy another brand next time. Great idea, but the metal must be designed to take more abuse. After all, the cheaper small diameter valves last for decades.

If you need a stop valve this is the one to buy
Well made, no leaks I installed this on sn older washing machine that was prone to leaking if the water inlet was left on this blocked it perfectly. I removed the device before I gave the washer to scrap.

Hydrant in combo with expandable/collapsible hose?
If you're using a hydrant style (freeze-proof) hose bib and you shut off the hydrant valve, the water stored in the stand pipe drains into the base in which you have installed the hydrant (i.e., gravel or whatever). When a hydrant style bib is used in conjunction with one of the many available expandable hoses and you shut the valve, not only is your drain base under the hydrant filling with the water from the stand pipe, but it is now needlessly draining the water from the collapsing hose as well. By installing and closing this new shut-off valve between the bib and the collapsing hose, none of the hose's water can drain into your hydrant base. The hose is isolated from the bib and free to drain and collapse on its own as advertised.
