Used it on my Nephew and he absolutely hated the flavor. But it did keep him from sticking fingers in his mouth that' s for sure. I gave it a taste for my self, and it has a really potent medicine taste. the flavor will last for about for about 5-10 in my experience with just a small amount on the tip of your finger. best to eat something that will mask the flavor if you decide to try it. it helped me.

I’m going to speak from my experience. I bought this for my 2 year old to get him to stop sucking his fingers. Day one it worked, I applied it multiple times, he would get a lick of those fingers and wouldn’t suck. He was much more fussy because he couldn’t but it worked and I was grateful. Day two he wasn’t as bothered by it and learned that if he licked them enough, the taste would go away. And day three he didn’t care any more and just went for it but this caused him to throw up. So the taste seemed pretty strong and maybe it could have worked but I did not want my stubborn toddler throwing up. I gave it a break and tried again a few months later. This time he didn’t care and sucked his fingers anyway. Waste of money it was more than it was worth!

Love everything about the ointment. It's effective, it's bad tasting but not unbearable to the point of a crying child spitting on everything, but $23 for a half-empty 1.5 oz tube???? Super disappointed. I knew it was only 1.5 oz when I bought it, but it's practically empty upon opening, and it recommends 3x a day use....💸

This product has potential but unfortunately didn't work for my son. When I initially put the cream on his thumb he seemed turned off by the bitter taste but once the cream wore off he was back to sucking his thumb again. The cream is easy to apply and isn't greasy. I like that it's made of natural ingredients. I'll keep using it to see if his thumb sucking is reduced but so far it doesn't seem to keep him from sucking his thumb for long.

Control-It worked immediately to stop our toddler’s thumb sucking. We applied it 3x day for about 2.5 months. That might have been longer than needed, but we did extra just to be sure. Our kid liked to put it on like hand lotion. The first night of sleep without thumb sucking was tough for our kid, but after that things went smoothly. The ingredients list is relatively simple, and I felt good about using it on my kid’s skin. It smells pleasantly like rosemary due to the rosemary oil. I highly recommend this product.

DO NOT BUY THIS.... I bought this product originally 6+ years ago and it was incredible, nasty, stayed on for days, fantastic!! Needed to re-up after finally going through my supply, and I believe they changed the formula, it sucks! I could barely taste it the first time I put it on, and even putting on a copious amount, (which I never had to do before) it still didn't last or work at all.

Tastes like mild toothpaste. My toddler loves it :/

This stuff is what you want! My daughter sucks her thumb, we put it on her thumb once!! She was done. If she’s sucking her thumb and we want her to stop we just have to say we’re going to get the cream and she listens right away. My husband tried it just to see how bad it was. They were both trying to get the taste out of their mouths for hours. This is the stuff to get people to stop. The horrid taste progresses after it gets in your mouth.

Our dentist recommended this product so my daughter would stop sucking her thumb.I'm going to change dentists.My daughter enjoyed this cream so much i could have made a dip out of it. Im still trying to decide the winner of the worst product of the century; this cream or the self melting ice cubes they sell next to the normal ones for twice the price…..key words; snake oil, charlatan, false advertising

My girl still sucks her finger even we applied this on her finger.. but at least it’s not harmful.
