I bought the black cooling gel version to replace original AKG K550 MkIII ear cups on which the leatherette started to disintegrate badly after 4 years of heavy use.These replacements are perfectly comfortable with the slim arms on my glasses frame. I'm already considering buying more to keep as backup for the future.The seal around my ears is better than the AKG originals, blocking out more environmental noise and emphasising the lower frequencies more. I was surprised at the difference when I listened to my headphone testing tunes; there is now proper bass on tracks where I felt it was previously lacking with the original ear cups. Obvious examples: Time Squared by Alex Plant, Get It by Run The Jewels. The many other genres of music I listen to still sound great.The new ear cups were tricky to fit, requiring some patience. Once you have managed to get one small part of the lip in place in the recess, hold onto that part very securely while you stretch the part nearest to it and allow it to slip into place, etc.

Ok, so I have only had these for about two weeks so far but if they stand the test of time, they will be amazing. I bought them for my AKG K-92's and they fit around my ears perfectly in support of the closed-back design. They are significantly more comfortable than the originals and yes, even cooler too. So definitely 5 stars to date, and I am considering ordering another pair for the semi-open AKG-K240's if they will fit.

They seem decent so far, they feel pleasant and make a good seal around my ears.I was a bit worried initially as they looked too small for my K550, but despite that I was able to fit them without any issue.This is my 3rd pair of replacement pads now, so I'm hoping the price justifies the build quality rather than just the cooling feature, but only time will tell.The instructions for the cooling feature say something about putting water "in the bottle cap", but I had no cap included, just the dropper. I tested it and it definitely had an effect, though it ran out pretty fast. It only says "choose the amount of droplets based on personal preference, but avoid choosing too much", which is not very helpful at all, so next time I'll try with more water.

Picked up two pairs of these earpads for a set of AKGs I use for listening a lot of the time. For the K240s I picked up the mesh design which in my opinion pairs really well with the open-back design and sound signature, I mean they are comfortable headphones anyway but having the mesh pads with them is pure comfort city, could spend hours listening with them and enjoying music.For my other set of AKGs (the K92s) I picked up the cooling gel earpads, and I'm blown away at how much more comfortable they are than the stock earpads. As described the headphones have a noticeable cooler feeling against my head with the cooling gel, and being closed-back the comfortability of the pads really help take these headphones from comfortable to super comfortable. Actually in summery I feel like there's are the pads you should be using if you're buying or currently have a pair of AKGs, highly recommended

I was a bit reluctant to purchase these at first because I thought they might be poor quality but I have been pleasantly impressed by their build quality. I like the soft touch material on them, it makes them more comfortable to wear and the thicker foam cups your ear better. It also increases the pressure on the grip around your ear which I find is better than the original. Fitting the ear cups was easy, there is a small cut out in the rim of the headphones that you can feed the ear cup band at the rear of the ear cup into the cut out and then rotate the ear cup to feed the band onto the rim of the headphones to secure them in place. Would I buy them again? Yes I would and I would recommend them to anyone who needs to replace damaged headphone ear cups.

This was a really good replacement for my AKG K550 earpads. The pleather had finally started to perish after 4-5 years of use. I really like the breathable texture on them and they are a little bit more firm then the originals but I think they will keep very nicely.
