I was looking for a wood chuck to use on my Shopsmith and found this item with the expandable /reversible jaw set up and thought I would give it a try. When it arrived i installed a threaded adaptor onto the Shopsmith spindle and screwed on the new chuck. Instructions' were not that great but once installed it was pretty easy to figure out how it worked. The individual jaws worked smoothly and it was capable of holding a 3.5x3.5" wood block. For small wood turning projects I'd recommend this. Good price point.
