The shutters look great and were easy to install. Before buying these I read the negative reviews and decided to just buy one pair to see for myself. I liked them very much and they were perfect for my house. Not flimsy at all as some buyers claim. I promptly bought seven more pairs.

UPDATE: Install was a breeze though I only did the lower windows. Looks amazing!I wanted to get an initial review done on my first impressions. I will supplement after install. I bought the paintable Standard Cathedral Top Center Mullion, Open Louver Vinyl Shutters. Usually, I'm a wood guy all the way but recently had the house painted and afterwards really needed something. Timing was of the essence and decided for the price point I could go with vinyl and eventually replace with wood if I loved.I ordered and product was shipped as stated with 2 day, received it came through USPS great packaging with no damage. Upon opening I was immediately impressed with the look and quality. It's very light but solid. The wood grain looked very real, came in a gray primer type color looking ready to paint. The big question is how would it take to paint.I wanted to match to the front door so i went and got a quart of the matching Benjamin Moore and began paint. Great news it took the paint great, and the wood grain looks even better. After a couple of coats, I'm ready to install in the next few days and I'll add to this review. It's light weight so I anticipate no problems with the install.At this point extremely happy with quality and most of all cost! Wood, we don't need no stinking wood.

The plastic is thin and quite flexible, but the shutters will install with minimal warping as long as you're careful to get the screws even. There are no bosses on the back, so it may take a little work to get them hung evenly. Do they look like cheap contractor-grade shutters? Yes. Because they are. I threw mine away because they looked small and cheap compared to the 1960 era shutters they were meant to replace. If your standards are low and you just need something to offset bare windows, go for it. They'll look fine.

Bought a house that had shutters only on the front of the house. I wanted to give that same curb appeal to the back since I use my yard all the time. They were easy to hang and they match the front shutters. The shutters just increased the look of my home for pennies on the dollar.

Love them, very simple to put up, there was no instructions so had to nip to youtube for ideas.You are mean to use a 5/16 bit on both shutter and siding if you are using the plastic push pins. However after fixing one this way and was not sure if it will be secure enough, on the second one I used 5/16 bit on the shutter but a ¼ bit in the siding, this made for a much tighter fit.I painted mine to match the trim on my unit

Replacement for hail damaged plastic shutter.Fit correctly. Easy installation. Came with plastic hanging pins. Color correct. Arrived quickly, undamaged.
