Milwaukee's Town of Lake (Images of America)

This book is charming. It shows historical buildings and roads from the neighborhood back when. Loved it and will keep it as a coffee table book for reference.

I didn't buy it from Amazon, only because I didn't know it existed. I was standing in line at Walgreens, and saw the book at the far end of the counter. It was like, oh please don't every one buy that book, because I have to have it! I might be the only person in the world who buys this book, but the reason I am so excited is that my sister always heard she was born in the Town of Lake. As far as I was concerned, it was like OZ. Did it ever really exist? All she really knew is that it was the east side of Milwaukee. Neither of us have read it yet, but glad we are finally being educated on a part of Milwaukee's never mentioned history.
