If you need it, get it 👍. It's good.
Hey there, fellow wired connection enthusiasts! If you're on the hunt for an Ethernet splitter and can relate to some quirks, we might just be in the same tech tribe 😄:1. You're a bit old-school, loving the reliability of wired connections.2. Troubleshooting a wired network? Easy peasy! Wi-Fi? Not your jam.3. You cherish your vintage tech that won't Wi-Fi-connect, and it’s just too good to let go.4. You're keenly aware of Uncle Sam peeping through your webcam. If you said 'yep' to any of these, my notes might be up your alley.First Impressions: The splitter's built like a tank—Aluminum fortress to dodge overheating. Cable connections? Solid 'click' to reassure you. It throws in a USB-C cable without charger but, hey, who doesn't have a graveyard of old chargers? Just grab a 5V/1000mA output one. Manual's there, full of diagrams you might never glance at (bring out those reading glasses if you do!). The warranty seems like it's got your back and it's more generous than others'.Testing Drama: I whipped out my laptop and did the speed test tango with Fast.com (courtesy of Netflix). Here’s what I cooked up:1. Wireless alone—No one else using my network.2. Wired through the splitter—Solo mission, no intruders.3. Wired through the splitter to both laptop and 4K streaming on the TV.Results Roll Call: Wired triumphs! Speed's a touch better than wireless. When double trouble hits the network, speed remains surprisingly unfazed. Check out the pics for proof! My internet provider promised me 500 Mbps.Parting Wisdom: Go for the 1000Mbps version if you're in the market. It does its job well, and it's like investing in a bit of 'future-proof' tech, unlike its slower 100Mbps cousin. Embrace the upgrade, folks! 🚀

Easy installation. Plug and play.
I love this thing. It was exactly what I needed when I needed it and at a relatively decent price. $27 is a little expensive for something like this IMO, but in the 6 months since I bought it, it's been worth every penny. If you're looking for a way to provide a fast, stable connection for more than one device via an ethernet cable, this is the product for you, and it's simple to install. The hardest part of the installation was just moving my TV to get at the cords behind it. The rest was easy.I definitely recommend this product.

Very Useful Compact Ethernet Splitter
This little NEWCARE RJ45 Ethernet Splitter is something I have needed in my toolkit for a long while. I can't tell you how many times I have been working on a computer, whether it was a Raspberry Pi, Laptop or server, or an IP device while at my computer when I only had one network connection cable available and was left scrambling for a solution. The operation is simple. Plug everything up and go. The only issue I have run into is the length of the USB power cable. But, how long could they make it? So, that's not a complaint. I like the all female connections vs. two females and one short male of some other devices. That way you can use your Ethernet jumpers to tailor placement. The throughput is acceptable. I have not tested that specifically. But, for normal temp use I don't think the speed degradation would be noticed from TBase1000 unless you were using this to attach an external storage system, or building a new system and downloading a bunch of uodates. Then, you might be left waiting a bit.Though there is no reason this device can't be used more permanently, I see it more for temporary use. It's a great little gadget. You can get similar devices with higher bandwidth, unpowered, etc. But, this one does the job I have in mind for it perfectly. It gets five stars.

Doesn't work as claimed
The description says both lines out support 1000Mbps. I am only getting that out of 1 line. The line to my Xbox is close to 1000Mbps. The line going to my TV is only getting around 90Mbps. My older TV doesn't communicate well with the WiFi, so I thought this would help. I doesn't do what it claims and streaming on TV is spotty at best.

Works Great
I'm so glad I got this splitter! I was getting latency issues between my Fire Cube and my Denon AVR. I was constantly having to adjust the lip sync setting on the Denon. The Cube does not like competing with an external audio source I guess?! At least not in the house of WiFi lol. I ran a 25ft Cat-8cable (also from Amazon) to my entertainment center than attached the splitter. Than ran 2 Cat 6e's I had from a previous internet installation, 1 to the Cube (resistance is futile), and 1 to my AVR. Now they work seamlessly together and when a singer sings it doesn't look like one of those old martial arts movies! Now, I know only enough about IT technology to be dangerous to myself but I can research and this was the best plan I could fiqure on, and it worked. I have the newest fiber-optics internet (1000gb) going into my house and it's my plan to drop Cat-8 cable into every room and eliminate as much WiFi as I can. Am I paranoid? Yeah, just a little!
