The Sharper Image® Hot + Cold Back Wrap has been a great comfort for my aching back. This heats up quickly and holds heat well. The fabric is soft and comfortable. I really like being able to wear this and not have to be next to an outlet for a cord. This is a great heat/cold wrap, and I am happy with my purchase.

This worked well for me. You can use it to either heat or cool, and don't have to worry about plugging it in. Great product.

This Sharper Image® Hot + Cold Back Wrap with dual intensity soft fabric, 53" Length, is adjustable comfort fit. It provides soothing heat & revitalizing cold therapy. I have only tried the hot function in microwave yet. As per instructions I microwaved it for 30 seconds but it was merely warm after 30 seconds so I put it back in microwave for another 30 seconds. It came out nice and warm (not hot) that I wrapped around my back. It provided soothing comfort for about 5 minutes but then I started feeling that it is not warm anymore but when I touched with hand it was still warm but was not feeling warm to my body probably because my body got immured to its warmth and also because it was never too hot. I have electric wraps that can be very hot but I like this wrap as I can move around anywhere in the house while wearing it. I have yet to try the cold therapy but overall it is a good product.

This works well. It keeps the heat/cold for a good amount of time. The use of Velcro to secure the wrap is so much better than other heat/cold pads that use belts or plastic clasps that are difficult to adjust or easily break. The Velcro part doesn't maintain the heat/cold, so you need to move the pad around to make contact to where you need it to be.

Sharper Image always has unique, helpful products. Having a lot of back pain issues, I was excited to try this wrap that could be microwaved or frozen to provide heat or cold to an area.I am a slender person and I was a little worried that it would be too large for me. Because of the way it wraps and is held by Velcro, it fits perfectly. It would also fit someone much larger. The heated/cooled area covers my entire lower back and a little of my sides.I found that microwaving it on high for 90 seconds worked well for me. The heat persists for about 20 minutes (the amount of time that you are supposed to apply heat or cold to an injury). When frozen, it remains flexible. It stays comfortably cold for about 20 minutes. It seems to work as well as another gel-type cold pack for the back that I own. That one cannot be microwaved. You may want to have two of these if you need to use the cold pack for extreme pain as it should be frozen for at least an hour before reuse.The best thing about this Sharper Image wrap is that I don't have to lay in bed with it. (Actually, I found that it is uncomfortable to lay on it as it is lumpy!) It stays in place as I do other things around the house (or even the office). It feels good when I'm sitting for long stretches at my computer. I do recommend this wrap!

This hot/cold pack has been a life saver for me! I'm not even kidding, it's like having a personal spa day for your back. The fabric is so soft and not rough or itchy. It's like a cozy hug for your back, and it's long enough to cover all the right spots.The adjustable fit is clutch too - I can get it just right, no matter how I'm sitting or laying. But the dual intensity is where it's at. When I'm feeling sore and tense, I hit that heat setting, and it's like pure relaxation. It melts away the stress like magic. But when I need a little pick-me-up, the cold therapy is a wake me upper! Lol. It's like a burst of energy that revives me.I've used other wraps before, but this one's my fav! The quality is top-notch, and it's built to last. Plus, it's super easy to use - even my tech-challenged grandma could figure it out.Honestly, I don't know how I lived without this thing. It's become a staple in my self care routine and I pretty much carry it everywhere with me now!

This wrap/pad uses clay pellets for it to retain the heat/cold that you want to apply to your back. I mention this because, while the materials give it a very soft touch, it is pretty heavy at almost 5 pounds. To use it, you first put it in the freezer for a couple of hours (for cold) or in the microwave for 1-2 minutes maximum (for heat). You then put it around your waist and fasten it with the velcro tab. The big advantages over a traditional heating pad is that it is firmly attached to your body and you are not tethered by an electrical cord so the heat is applied evenly and comfortably while you retain some mobility. I found the heat would last about 30-45 minutes, but that was generally enough. Each side has a different level of padding - a thinner pad for faster heat/cold transfer and a thicker side for a more gentle application. The pad provides a little back support but I would not consider it a substitute for a brace - especially with the additional weight and bulk.If you have need for temperature therapy (hot and/or cold) for your back, you may want to give this one a try.

This back wrap is great for easing your aches and pains. I love how it can be either hot or cold, so you can pick whatever works best for you. It is comfortable on the back, and you can use it on your stomach or anywhere else on the body as well. Just wrap it around wherever you want it, like your leg, knee, etc. I like how the strap is nice and large, and it is adjustable.
