This moss selection had a lot of nicely shaped, dimensional moss pieces. It wasn't dried moss scraps like I've purchased before. You may have to remove a few "stems" from some of the pieces or position them underneath.The color doesn't come off on your hands. It's lightweight and easy to glue. I used Aleen's quick dry glue on this piece. The two brighter greens are very similar in color, though one was a bit more blue green than the other. The darker one is almost a grey/black green.I glued the moss to foam core that i had painted green so that the white didn't show through. This artwork contains two other kinds of moss and a fungi not contained in this box of moss (plus rocks and sticks).I have enough moss left over that i could do another art piece this size plus a smaller piece. It really covers well and goes a long way.There is an earthy smell to it but that is normal based on other purchases of moss that I've made in the past.Overall, for the price, you get a LOT of decent moss in a very nice, sturdy box. (I did transfer mine to ziploc bags and put them in a bin with other mosses I've collected for future use).

I liked that this box came with more of the moss than the option I had prior purchased from another supplier. However, the color was not as deep or rich as the competitor, but the amount paid was like 2$ less and I got 5 oz per color vs 3.5 oz per color (competitor). I figure for the price difference, I can try and dye this product myself if I dislike it that much.
