sweetness. You just have to realize it was really ...
“I have never been kissed so thoroughly. This is the kind of kiss that sets the bar for any that might follow. The kind that shows you everything you’ve been missing and everything you never knew you wanted.”“We all have ugly in our past, sweetness. You just have to realize it was really life teachin’ you a lesson. When you find something that finally proves all that ugly was worth survivin’, it doesn’t look so bad when you see what kinda reward you get in the end.”“You keep givin’ me the fire that burns inside that teacup, I”m gonna be fine waitin’ for you to be ready to give me more, darlin’.”OMG! Talk about a sweet and oh so swoon worthy read! This book had me swooning from the moment I picked it up. I mean, there is just something about a mysterious and broody cowboy and a woman who is afraid to trust. Their instant connection had me hooked from page one and kept me begging for more.Cowboy Up is the third book in Coming Home Series and follows the story of Clay and Caroline. Caroline is the sweet, shy woman next door. She has no clue just how amazing and beautiful she is. Caroline’s life has been anything but easy. But, she is finally ready for a fresh start and a chance to live the life she always wanted. The one thing that Caroline didn’t plan for was the mysterious stranger who was about to turn her life upside down….Clay has been dealt some pretty tough cards over the years. From the way he grew up to the woman who destroyed his heart….Clay is just a shell of a man. Broody. Serious. Way too hard working. That is until Caroline. Fate knew exactly what she was doing when she put Clay and Caroline together. They will be tested in many ways, but with the strong connection these two share, there is nothing they can’t overcome….Cowboy Up was the sweetest and most swoon-worthy story. I just adored Clay and Caroline together. The insta-romance with these two worked so well. I felt their connection and their feelings for one another. It felt real and I just loved the pull that they had for one another. I loved the things they brought out in one another. Clay giving Caroline a reason to trust and take the leap towards love. And Caroline shining her sweetness and goodness on Clay. Showing him just how amazing he is and just how wonderful love can be when you find the right person. I thought these two balanced each other out very well and boy did these two ever burn up the sheets together. They were one hot couple and I just loved it!Cowboy Up was a terrific read from beginning to end. I loved the characters and the story-line. I thought the characters were easy to relate to and I couldn’t help but want to know more about them. I loved the mystery and suspense that surrounded the story. I mean, you can’t go wrong with a cowboy and a hint of danger! We also get to see quite a bit of the characters from previous stories, which I don’t know about you, but I love seeing how all the stories come together and connect. That being said, I do believe that this story can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone–fair warning though, there will be spoilers for the previous books.Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick and easy read for me. It was a great second chance romance that I just loved getting lost in. This book delivered all the goodness that I have come to love and enjoy from this author. I laughed. I swooned–boy did I ever swoon. I got caught up in the suspense. And I fell totally in love. In the end, I was left with one big, silly smile on my face.

whirlwind of an story #COWBOYUP
What a fantastic ending to the spectacular Coming Home trilogy. Cowboy Up is a story I have been so looking forward to. It is the story of the eldest Davis sibling but it is also the conclusion to the emotionally charged and beautifully written series.Clayton’s story has been one that I have wanted to read since book 1. I have to say, he was very much worth the wait. Clay is the oldest and has been the parental figure to the younger Davis siblings. He is a man who is strong, quiet, at times irritable and moody in previous books but in this book he shows a side that was rarely seen- tender, loving, giving and full of love. So much love that he was bursting from the seams with it. This is a man that I knew lurked in the previous books and was dying for his story to be told, because he is the kind of guy that women long for and I knew this was my book boyfriend and I totally claimed him as soon as I started reading …CLAY WAS MINE!!! Clay’s woman was not someone who was weak, oh no. She was someone who had been thru a lot and Caroline meets Clay when she went out looking to let off some steam at a bar. She has this crazy life going on and needed a release from the pressure building up inside of her so her friend Luke introduces her to a cowboy he knows…Clay. They have this wild night together and when it was over, the connection doesn’t go away. Their chemistry is intense and strong, and that night stayed with them after it was over. 2 months go past when they meet up again. Caroline has had a run of very bad luck –she is currently homeless after her bookstore was set on fire. They meet up again and that chemistry is still burning hot and bright between them. Clay and Caroline find that they want to see where this connection, this chemistry would take them after they haven’t had the best luck in the relationship department. Will they find that this is real and true, and worth fighting for?Cowboy Up is a beautiful and emotional read that is packed full of emotion, passion, and feels. There is a story that the characters leap out at you, grab you and keep you hooked from start to finish. I also enjoyed getting to revisit with previous characters from the past books and what I also fount interesting is that, not only is this a romance, but a romance with a villain(s). Ms. Sloan has written such a lovely and sexy cowboy story with a great HEA. I look forward to reading what the author has coming up next.My Rating: 4.8 stars *****“I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."

White horses and knights
Not my favourite from the series it felt a little forced and not as smooth as the previous two books. Clay and Caroline story is love at first meeting and after one night of an anonymous heat they can’t forget each other until they literally run into each other and the rest is history as they say

So much beauty... P-e-r-f-e-c-t
I could not wait to read Clayton’s story. His character intrigued me from the very beginning and I was not disappointed. I love everything about this book - the story, the narration, the characters❤❤❤Cowboy Up’s synopsis really says it all. However there is SO MUCH passion and greatness in this book.“Who would’ve thought that one night with a dark cowboy would heal my soul”As soon as I met the character of Caroline and learned more about her past, I knew that she was made for Clay and I was rooting for them. She also own a bookstore!!!!“There’s no better smell on this earth than the pages of a book.”Caroline is not your typical heroine- she is a broken soul who wants more in her life. She is determined to get her life back after running away from an abusive partner. She knows what she wants, knows what her insecurities are – She is strong and vulnerable at the same time. Her two friends, Luke and Lucy are her lifeline, they are her family. The interaction between them is sweet, hilarious and real. Her encounter with the dark cowboy has changed her life forever.““I’ve never felt anything better than what I get when you give me you.”I LOVE Clay Davis, he is ALPHA TO THE CORE - He is an endearing ALPHA COWBOY God who is protective, caring, determined and the Head of the Davis’s clan - He made me smile, cry, swoon and blush.“You make me need everythin’ I never wanted.”He has it all!! Clay’s focus has always been his ranch and his family. After a disastrous relationship, he decided that love was not for him.“My loneliness drove me to her, and it kept me from finding her after, but it won’t keep me away from her”Reading Cowboy Up was such an enjoyable experience- I was back in the world of Pine Oak and I felt like I knew everybody. Meeting Maverick, Quinn, Leigh and Tate again brought a big smile to my face. At some point Maverick and Clayton’s interaction got me in tears- I could feel everything… I am not going to say much more but I can pledge that Cowboy Up is another winner in this series.“Life might toss us some ugly. But I’m ready to take it on now if it does.”It is the story of how a chance encounter helped two people find a deep profound love... how when it is meant to be , it is meant to be. I really, really loved Linney and Clay’s story and the epilogues were pure bliss and perfection!!!!!! Harper Sloan has delivered another very beautiful and captivating love story . “It’s his affections, after all, that have shown me how to complete the puzzle inside of me—that have allowed me to finally shed the past and start living.”
