Spring was a perfect replacement for a tired spring. Easy to install and set proper tension.

One of the pins is too large for the hole in the spring structure that adjusts tension. I have had this problem before and have to lightly grind it down. I had to replace the same existing spring because it stretched and lost its recoil. Not many other choices out there.

Afraid the pins popped-out on first use, and I gave up looking for them. I cut segments off the tension bar thinking those might work but they too popped-out. Maybe this is too flimsy for our iron gate, Im not sure. It seems like this would be perfect if the pins were re-engineered. Disappointing, returning.

I bought this for my small wrought iron gate (left handed). Relatively light duty. You need to be aware that you can only tighten this spring firmly in one direction (counter-clockwise) good only for a right handed gate. When I installed and then attempted to modestly tighten the spring (clockwise) it bent the spring where it attaches to the tension lug. Had to buy a different brand spring to serve my purpose.

Spring is installed under tension to close the door. A loosely fitted pin is all that keeps the spring tensioned. Very poor design. Pins fall out easily. Also, it's a 2 spring set and I only received 1 set of pins. I don't trust the way this product was designed.

This is the second that I’ve bought. Good for about 4 years and then the weather and use wear it out.

I have to replace it with a stronger one from Home Depot. It just was not up to the task. The religious greeting inthe package was also an unwelcome surprise.

Single worst product I bought on amazon. No instructions, pins did not fit in the holes on the tensioner one pin was too tight in all the holes the other too loose. Installed it two different ways and it would not function well. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
