For those wondering, yes it does slide up and down and adjust to all three height sizes. It is not three different models of stool as in one for each height. This was not made at all clear in the description. Indeed I held off ordering for several weeks. If vendors don't make details like this clear immediately, it puts me off purchasing.In the end I bit bullet and placed my order as it was the only way to find out what it was really like. I am a piano player and I need a stool like this for some of the public pianos I see around that are without a seat. I also needed a stool of this particular height (on its lowest setting) to prevent the back aches that would happen otherwise when playing. Most of the other stools I looked at were of a much lower height.Portability wise, this stool is extremely well designed. The seat itself is extremely comfortable too, due to the taught-ness it achieves when clipped in properly I was disappointed though with how wobbly the stool was where the metal stem fits in to the plastic base. It rocks about and just seems a bit unstable. I can just about suffer this on its lowest height setting but I would deem it unusable on the mid and top height settings. Perhaps for the price I am expecting too much?I hope this helps any future buyers who like me were in a bit of a quandary over whether to order or not.

I bought it in order to place a little device on it that I use while sleeping and for me it is important the height adjustment and the little space occupied next to bed.

The seat piece is very hard to place. Overall very fiddly

Unfortunately, I had to return it. Whilst I liked the concept, I found it too unsteady and difficult to balance.

A clever design but slow to put together and for me extremely uncomfortable - no instructions included so maybe I was doing it wrong.I tried sitting in a couple of positions, one had two of the metal prongs which hold the seat sticking up into my upper thigh - most uncomfortable. The other position was obviously wrong because I immediately fell backwards, luckily there was a settee behind me.The seat wobbles.I am returning it

I'm 14 1/2 stone and takes my weight no problem, comfortable and height adjustable. I use it for pitch side at my sons football matches 👍

When I finally managed to get the fabric seat on the frame it’s perfect, if anyone has arthritis in their hands it will be a struggle, but it’s a great seat, I bought it to get in the mosh pit at a Springsteen concert in May and my backs not in good shape so this should relieve it whilst I’m waiting for the gig to start then I guess 3 hours of the gig I would not normally be able to take so wish me luck I think it will work
