Tan vs. Clear Strips- Each have their uses
I have tried both the tan and clear versions of these strips and I think both have their uses. First I will list the similarities between the two: - both are much larger than I expected. I am using them for a scar on the side of my nose and I cut them to the correct size. I can get about 5 uses out of one strip. This makes their price much more reasonable. - Both last about a day for me. The packaging says you can leave them on for up to 10 days, but I exercise, work outside, and sweat a lot, so I tend to take them off each day. I think that if you wanted to shower in them, the clear ones would be better as they would not hold water. The tan ones have the texture of a cloth band-aid and hold water when they get wet. - Both are equally comfortable to wear. I have a latex allergy and very sensitive skin and have had no issue with either. Tan Strips: - These are easier to use than the clear ones. It is much easier to get the backing off the strip and to apply it because it is thicker than the clear strips. - The texture of them is different, very much like a cloth band-aid - Due to their thickness, they don't seem to stick quite as well as the clear strips. However, I am using them on my nose, which has a crease. They may stick better on flat skin. - I like to use these when I work outside because they provide sun protection. I was told that it is very important to keep sun off of scars, and my scar is on my face. You cannot put sunscreen on underneath these strips as they won't stick, so using the clear strip means that your scar will be exposed to the sun. The tan strips block the sun well. Clear strips: - These are much more discrete than the tan strips. When you are wearing one that area is a bit shiny, but otherwise they are quite invisible. - It is VERY difficult to remove the backing from the clear strips and once the backing is off, they tend to roll and stick to themselves. With practice you will get better, but it will always be a challenge. - These seem to stick slightly better to curves and creases (e.g. the side of the nose) than the thicker tan strips. - I wear these when I want to be discrete and not have an obvious bandage on my face.

Gentle scar improvement
I am writing to express my sincere satisfaction with this scar reduction product. Its exceptional quality has significantly exceeded my expectations. The material is remarkably soft and pliable, making application straightforward and comfortable. The product's adaptability, allowing for customized sizing, is a valuable feature. Furthermore, I have found it to be entirely non-marking and highly effective in minimizing the visibility of scarring. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to others seeking a gentle yet effective solution for scar improvement.

Sticks well and is soft
Fits nice, read instructions first before using. Covers well, seems to work, but it takes a month or two to see results they say. Although, I put one on for the required minimum of 12 hours and it seemed to make the scar on my face lighter???? Sticks well and comfortable, not stiff. As for irritation, well, it didn’t after 12 hours, not sure if I left it on longer and used it for multiple days like they advised.

Not that great.
I had a box of ScarAway from the same manufacturer that was green. It was a superior product. On the other hand, this product does not stick to the skin very well and starts to come off on the edges within one or two days. It doesn't seem to help reduce scarring as much as the previous product, even with using two sheets for the same time period as the previous ones. These are protected by a thicker/firmer piece of plastic. Not really pleased with the cost/benefit ratio.

Safe, Effective--Reduces Redness!
After having a surgery on my forehead that involved 11 stitches, I was motivated to reduce the redness and swelling as soon as possible. I purchased the ScarAway Advanced Skincare Silicone Scar Sheets, Medical Grade Silicone Strips for nighttime use. They are great! You can cut them to the size you need and reuse them for 2 weeks or so per strip. My scarring is almost invisible and the redness is almost unnoticeable.

Does the job.
I have keloid scars and this does seem to help make them flatten a little but need to continue the use regularly. I can usually reuse for about 1-2 weeks.

It works!
These are amazing! I have used both the clear and the cloth like ones. They both work. The cloth like ones are easier to apply. Depending on where you are going to use them, they may or may not stick to the skin well. I used the clear ones on my arm just above the wrist. They stayed on very well. For many days. Probably average of 5 days. That scar is gone! Then I had anterior cervical fusion. Neither of them stick well to the skin on the neck. I am now using the cloth like ones and I put a piece of surgical tape over it. That holds it in place for as long as I want to leave it there. The surgical tape starts to look kind of bad after 5 or 6 days so I take it off when that happens. It is amazing the difference it made in that surgical scar the first time I used it. I did start using them as soon as the doctor would allow me to, probably 6 weeks after the surgery. I can see a difference each time I remove one.
