The Corsac 2 emits infrared light (IR) using LEDs, invisible to humans. A digital sensor picks up the IR. The image displays on a screen in the viewfinder.

Can the Corsac 2 be used at night with the IR off?

Yes, the Corsac has Lunarsight: high sensitivity to ambient light, even with the IR off. So it can be used to see through glass at night, unlike most IR binoculars. It's also stealthy, as you have no red glow from the IR LED bulb when the IR is off.

Can the Corsac 2 be helmet or tripod mounted?

The Corsac 2 can't be mounted to a helmet, but comes with a 1/4" tripod hole on the underside of the device and a comfy padded neckstrap for handheld use.
