Serious Peace of Mind and Extremely Solid
My husband travels often, and I’m naturally a little uneasy when he’s gone, so having this door security bar has given me real peace of mind. It feels extremely sturdy and well made, and setup is quick and straightforward with no damage to the door or floors. What really sold me is that my husband actually tested it himself and tried to force the door open—and he couldn’t. It grips firmly against the floor and the doorknob, and once it’s in place, the door does not budge. I’ve used it on different doors in our home and it works just as well on various floor types. It’s simple, effective, and does exactly what it’s designed to do. Being able to sleep at night feeling more secure is priceless, and this is absolutely worth the investment.

As a former Anti Terrorism Security Specialist for the Military, I give this a 10/10
Hi Will here, using my wifes family account. I never write reviews, however this product exceeded my wildest expectations. I have tested every door stopper stick available on amazon and home depot and all have failed miserably. Some collapsed because the locking mechanism could be defeated by wiggling the door back and forth (The white one with lots of holes available here and home depot). Others could be defeated because the grip at the bottom was a virtual slip and slide providing zero resistance (SecurityMan) This Securadoor door stopper is exactly everything I hoped for and more. Its easy to assemble (3 parts), easy to measure and set (60 seconds), and just freaking works. I unlocked my front door and had my wife use the securadoor, which was set on tile. The only thing that would hold it back was the securadoor itself. When I tested it this thing held my weight even I pushed against it as hard as I could. I had to stop because I was concerned the door would come off the screws and hinges before this thing security bar failed. Absolutely amazing. Then I tested it in my main bedroom. There we have thick 1 inch carpet. I adjusted the securadoor bar to fit that door frame and once again my wife placed it. I was able to push in and create a half inch of wiggle room but once the securadoor engaged, that was it. That door would not budge any further, even on super thick fluffy carpet. Literally as good as it gets. If you are looking for a great security door bar, look no further than this. I literally cannot think of anything else to add or improve, that's how great this thing is. Its damn near perfect. You get what you pay for and the quality is as good as it gets. As far as I am concerned ... this is the only real security door bar in the market. Everything else is just a sad imitation that will get you killed. This amazing bar works and will stop intruders from breaking past your doors. The only problem with this is that the stick works so good now i have to replace all the screws in the door hinges as that is now the weakpoint. A great problem to have. 11/10 Extremely Recommend.

Does The Job
Love it. Having this latched to my door helps give me peace of mind while going to bed. Holds great. Have tested several times. A couple times when we first got it, wanting to prove to my partner that I had made a smart purchase. Held better than expected. And still going strong. So strong that it's actually started denting my door a bit, the steel handle at least. Easy to set up and/or put away, doesn't take up space. Has a decent enough weight on it that if I decided to turn around and use it as a weapon on an intruder, it would do a good job of damage. But not heavy enough for an elder person to be restricted on picking it up, at least in my opinion. Loved it so much that I bought one for my mom, and planning on buying another one for when my little sister gets her own place.

Extremely Sturdy — Better Than Other Security Bars I’ve Tried
I’ve used security bars in the past, but this one is noticeably sturdier and works exceptionally well. I was honestly surprised by how much better it performed compared to other security bars I’ve ordered before. The build feels solid and reliable once installed. The price is a bit on the higher side, but I ordered a pre-owned one and it arrived practically new, which made it well worth it. Pros: • Very sturdy and well built • Works better than other security bars I’ve tried • Adjustable and secure Cons: • New price is on the higher side Bottom line: Excellent security bar with strong construction. If you can find it pre-owned, it’s a great value.

Additional / alternative door security for college students
My daughter lives in on-campus housing at college with four additional girls. The only lock on the apartment door is on the door knob - no deadbolt. They had reported a couple incidents of money being taken from their rooms and various items being moved around, as if someone had been looking through their stuff, but they did not have any proof that someone had broken into their room. Early one morning, at 4:30 AM, my daughter and her roommate woke up to the sound of their bedroom door being opened very slowly. Two males were standing in the doorway. When they yelled, the intruders ran out. Fortunately, no one was hurt and nothing was taken, but the girls were traumatized by the intrusion. Long story short, the college refused to add a deadbolt or security cameras (even though they have them in other buildings), so I purchased two security door bars as an alternative solution. The girls use one on the entry door to their apartment. My daughter has the second one for her bedroom door, in case her roommate is away and she's alone. The security door bars are very well made and sturdy. The girls have tested them by having people try to force the doors open, literally throwing their bodies into the doors, with no luck. This product gives them a better sense of security and allows them to sleep more peacefully in a situation where they are not allowed to add or modify traditional lock systems. I'm very happy with the purchase of this product.

Supplementary Information (dimensions)
The item arrived in good quality and works as intended. I was unsure how to cut it to length, but using a hacksaw was simple enough and straightforward, especially once you create a sufficient cutting notch. I used a metal file to smooth out the cut once finished. I was disappointed that this transition strip and others like it did not include in the description the exact positions of ridges on the underside. This is important since this is where the weight will be partially distributed, and I was worried that a ridge might be resting on the door trim which cannot properly bear weight. Although there is a cross-sectional image, I wasn't sure if it was accurate for the ridges since it only details the overall width and height. Therefore, after examining the arrived item, the following are extra details which some may find useful: - Underside ridge locations: 1.125" from the edge on both sides, 0.125" wide - Top channels (5): starts at 1.125", are 0.125" wide, and 0.25" apart. - Thickness: on average 0.125" - Hole locations: 3", 14", 25", 36", 47", 58", 69" -- All 11" apart It should be noted that some aspects of the cross-sectional image are accurate, such as the position of the ridges/channels as compared to the width, whereas some are exaggerated such as the thickness and height when also compared against the width.

Loses its grip over time on tile flooring, becoming nearly useless
The problem with this product is the rubber base piece which has a textured rubber face that initially grips tile flooring, but loses its grip over time. Scuffing up the rubber face with a Dremel tool and an abrasive wheel buys you a few months until you have to do it again. But you probably won't notice over time how useless the product is becoming until you accidentally sweep it away from the door with your foot, something that should be difficult to do if it actually would grip the floor properly. So as much as I want to like it for its somewhat industrial design, I can't really see this getting much use on tile flooring unless the manufacturer remedies the problem with this floor contact piece. When it does grip the floor, it's OK for blocking the door, but it doesn't really hold it all that well, a lot of which has to do with this rubber piece not sustaining enough friction.

Peace of Mind
-Quality construction and materials -Well designed -Light weight yet sturdy enough to be effective. -Easy to use I have a lever-style doorknob and tile floors, but this seems to hold fast; doesn't seem to budge. I had been wanting to purchase a door jam for quite some time, but never got around to it. I think I probably looked at them in the past, but was never satisfied with the designs. When I saw this one, I bought it, because it looked like it was well engineered. I began using it right out of the box. Although would say my neighborhood is safe, we do get a number of sales people, and I've heard the door being tried. Having this Securadoor gives me the peace of mind that is well worth the price.
