I don't know what the Guinness record for largest plastic brick build is. I would imagine it is a custom build. In terms of an off the shelf assembly with full color instruction book, this is the largest set that I've seen by multiples.It's a beautiful model based on a real world castle. Every aspect from the design to the bricks to the book are top quality, material and options. This set will not soon be forgotten. It has to be some sort of record breaker.

I did not pay close attention to the size of the blocks in this Lego-like building block set, and mistakenly thought that the blocks would be the same size as a Lego block, and that this kit would be a two-for-one, in that it would be a great set to build, and would provide a great many source blocks and trees for my own builds. Sadly, only the first part was true. This set is very nice, is complete, and will be a project that will require dedication to build, and provide great satisfaction when done. None of the pieces in the kit, including the most excellent trees, are usable on a regular sized Lego or Lego clone set. As it is, I'm gifting this to a young builder who doesn't have enough space to build something like this if it were full size, and I'm sure he'll be happy to have all those bricks to make his own projects too. Well made, clear instructions, and clever design make this a five star product, just be sure you understand that it won't work with your other Lego style bricks.Five Star Beautiful and Well Made Building Block Kit of Himeji Castle

Of all the building sets I've reviewed lately, this is one of the more beautiful ones I've checked out. Just an awesome design. I say advanced because there is so much to this one, just getting the base started in the right places is going to be some work. Not saying that is bad, just saying this will be a building set that requires patience and time.Also, this is a micro set, smaller blocks so it is not compatible with Lego and the likes. They do tell you this, but that information is kind of buried at the end. I think they should put that detail up top, so they don't get too many returns.The blocks are smaller, they call it micro, and they are well made, good quality with a good fit and finish. Parts fit together well and stay together. Like the colors of the blocks and parts as well.Included instructions is a HUGE book, I mean a big one, which is nice so you can better see how to assemble this set. Instructions are very detailed and easy to read. Just a look to this one. Be prepared.As far as assembly, would have been nice if the labeled the bags, like for steps, would make it easier to find what you need. That part could be improved.Do like this one, besides missing labels on bags, would recommend.

we received this set last night and because it's so big, I decided to help my son who's 12 and loves building sets but this thing is really big and I can tell will take a few days to build. The instructions are very clear and precise so I think it shouldn't give us too many issues. So far we are liking it and all the bricks have been sticking well, nothing loose or coming apart, yet, so I'm hopeful. Make sure you have a lots of space to work with - there are so many bags with bricks lol.
