Upscale Shoes with Comfort Issues
Five stars for style. Five stars for quality construction. Four stars for fit. Three stars for comfort. When I first put these shoes on I felt like I was standing on a rolling pin! They hurt my feet and I was planning on returning them. (NOTE to Timberland: Not every foot requires arch supports. Mine certainly don't. I guess my feet must be on the flat side.) After a month of wear the arch supports seem to have molded to my feet somewhat and the comfort factor has improved. As for the sizing, they might be a half size too big, however, the heavier wool socks I wear in the winter fill in the space nicely. In the winter snow and slush the shoes look like they get wet, but feet stay dry and warm. On balance a four-and-half star, high-quality, high-style selection.

Nice boots...
These boots are nice but required some serious breaking in time because they are fairly narrow. They fit me fine now but I would go with the 12 e if I were to get another pair.Update. The first ones that I bought were the brown 12/D ones and they are still great. I bought the black 12/E pair after the brown ones and they are falling apart 3 months later. Hit and miss I guess. They looked and felt great, but quality control is lacking in the black pair. Took away a star for that. 60 bucks for three months of wear isn't cool and it's too late to return them.

Size down one complete size and you'll be fine
Really beautiful and functional shoes. Like Clarks Buschare's, but they don't feel like death and aren't as fragile. I'm going to reorder a pair when the price goes down.SIZE DOWN ONE COMPLETE SIZE. I normally wear 10 1/2 and 9 1/2 fits perfectly. I ordered a 10 and it was too big.

Very nice and comfortable boots.
I've been a fan of Timberland boots for a while and I currently have four different pairs of Timberland boots. I normally wear a size 11 shoe, but because Timberland boots typically run a little large, I buy 10.5 in this brand. The last pair of Timberland "Earth Keeper" boots that I bought in a 10.5 were still a bit large, so, I bought these "Earth Keeper" boots in a 9.5, and they are a bit too snug. The boots look great for casual wear and they are certainly well made and comfortable. Order one size smaller than your normal shoe size and these should fit well and require no breaking in.*Update* I've had these for about two years now and I must say, they got better with time! They broke in nicely and are much more comfortable now. Also, they still look good. I never even condition or shine the leather- just brush dirt off with a brush and wipe them down with a wet towel. They are waterproof all the way up to the ankle, which makes these ideal for a rainy day or slushy winter mess.

Not recommended
Im sorry to give this shoe a one star rating because I really wanted to like them. I bought and returned 3 pairs trying to find the right size only to find that the size that did fit were 2 sizes what I normally where in normal shoes and way too narrow. They were very uncomfortable and I could not imagine having to "break them in." It is a shame because I really like the look of the shoes. Needless to say, I would not recommend these shoes to any new buyers.

to large at least one size
The 3 stars is purely for the sizing on these shoes to me there at least a full size larger than what the size indicates its a headache replacing them but they looks very nice I can't wait to leave an updated review once I get a pair that actually fit

5 years and they were perfectly comfortable and waterproof throughout
Had these shoes for about 3.5 years and they were perfectly comfortable and waterproof throughout. I need to replace them now as their waterproof exterior seems to have worn away after 3 chicago winters, but I will likely buy this same pair again.
