An average toner, a bit over priced for 200mls. Although it does freshen the skin and stop it from being oily....( just like witch hazel) and it doesn't have much scent apart from the witch hazel, which is what it feels like on the skin, except witch hazel is about £3 a bottle and this is £15. I wouldn't get it again, as l really can't see and feel that much difference on my skin.

This is a great clarifying toner for men - it comes nicely presented and a good sized bottle at 200ml. I hadn’t heard of shakeup cosmetics before now but seems like it’s sold at other well known sites/shops. Toners are always great for freshening up your skin and reducing oil. This one specifically is a clarifying one and should also exfoliate, hydrate and reduce shine on your skin. It contains some quality ingredients, namely glycolic acid (which will help with the exfoliation) and witch hazel (which is a good anti-inflammatory). As with all toners this is very liquidy so you can just pat a small amount across your face. There is no scent. It would be great to have the whole range so you can cover each of the steps as part of a skincare routine. Overall this is a good product but it is priced slightly higher than I would expect, especially if you were to go out and get the whole range as this would quickly add up to a fair amount, but it is always good to have set staples you can always rely on.

I was lucky enough to order all of the products in this skincare range (the daily face wash, clarifying toner, gel moisturiser and pro youth serum) which my partner has tested for me. He doesn’t do a lot of skincare normally but did enjoy using these products. This brand is British with the products being formulated and produced in the UK, which is fantastic, and considering everything that has gone on recently it is particularly important to support small British brands where possible. All the products are also vegan, alcohol and impurity free and there is no animal testing, all fantastic qualities in a brand. The toner comes in a 200ml plastic bottle with a drop dispensing system which is best applied to a cotton pad for use. The toner contains witch hazel which is an anti-inflammatory and glycolic acid which exfoliates and increases cell turnover rate. This in turn freshens your skin by removing dead skin cells and removes excess oil from your skin, reducing shininess and clogged pores. My partner used this as part of the overall Face4Ward facial skincare routine (face wash, toner, serum and moisturiser) and has noticed a difference to the overall health and appearance of his skin. He used it after washing his face with the daily face wash and then followed the toner by applying the serum and then the moisturiser from the same range. My partner has quite sensitive, oily skin and this range has definitely improved the oiliness without upsetting his skin. The toner is £15 at the time of reviewing and I would definitely recommend this in conjunction with the other products in the skincare range.
