I love this little starter incubator. We are currently starting our flock and I wanted to try incubating to see how it worked and if I was able to actually get these eggs to hatch. The incubator had some fluctuations at first with temp and humidity, and I placed a hydrometer in there to get a better idea and after about 24 hours we were finally matching temps and humidity for the most part on the incubator and hydrometer. My eggs are in lockdown, I have 5/12 that made it (no fault of the incubator) and we have increased the humidity and it has held. This is definitely a great starter incubator or one for those just wanting to hatch a few eggs.The only downfall of this is the light for candeling. I ended up just using a flashlight. Not a big deal, I'd still buy it anyway. Using a flashlight is easier and allows for better inspection anyway.

I received this incubator last week after much debate over buying it or live chicks. My flock is savage, so no raising babies for them, many failed attempts later. My fertilized eggs have been in the incubator for 3 days. An important detail is that the dome fits very securely, no wiggle once in place. I say this because I started with 10 eggs but added 2 within 24 hours of starting the incubation period. The humidity dropped and did not increase as it did at the initial start up, after a few hours was up past 70%. So I checked the dome and it had some movement, then seated into place correctly. So far, it is working great, temp holding at 100 degrees, humidity now up, and rotates eggs every 2 hours. The unit is easy to use and instructions are understandable. The only thing that would improve this unit is to provide a bit more room for each egg. I have several jumbo eggs, so they are a little crowded. Very nice incubator.

I bought this due to the great reviews. We got he smaller one, 12 eggs because we didnt realize how EASY and addicting it is to have eggs in an incubator 🐥🐥🐥It's only been 6 days and I already wish I'd have gotten the bigger one.This incubator is so easy to use, instructions are simple and all the adjustments are labeled. Looking forward to watching these fowl hatch!!One thing to be aware of is making sure the lid sits on properly after candling. All of the eggs came from a reliable source, I wish we had room for more eggs 🐣🐣🐣 as it's fun and interesting to watch them change.My favorite part is the day by day page/cheat sheet that came with this. We leave it next to the incubator for quick reference.⭐ A couple things I learned: turn your eggs inward and do not touch the small point during handling as that is the unborn chicks air port.✨ Also, we are hatching guinea fowl. The instructions do not include tips on these eggs but Google does and I used a sharpie to write on the day by day page so we know what temperature and humidity in the future

This was a great incubator. I have tried several over the years and this is by far my favorite. You can easily see the eggs during the whole process which makes it so much fun! The water bottles keep it hydrated and the hydrometer is reassuring to know you have the right humidity. There’s enough room for the chicks to move around until they can come out. You do have to manually remove the egg turner, but it was simple. The instructions and images are well done. And easy to understand.Please keep chicks in there at least 12-24 hours after hatching so they don’t get dehydrated. I started with 12 eggs, and 6 were fertile, and we got 5 live chicks from the 6 eggs. I recommend this incubator, and it was worth the money even though it was kind of expensive.

Seems to work pretty good but the humidity control takes a bit of experimenting to get it to work correctly and you have to monitor it closely and add a little water to port B once in awhile to get the humidity back up. I checked with a separate temperature and hydrometer and humidity is actually lower inside than the meter built into the unit. Should still work well but will take a lot of monitoring to make sure.Edit: Do not trust the temperature and humidity on the unit itself, it is not accurate at all. Also, the 12 egg unit is not big enough for anything larger than a chicken egg. If you are hatching turkey, get the larger unit for 12 turkey eggs.EDIT: The 18 egg incubator does not maintain temperature well. It fluctuates greatly. I have tried it in several different locations and with the foam cover. It is still very hard to keep a steady temperature.

This was a wonderful investment for my family. It’s very easy to use and you can pretty much just set it and forget it until day 18. Make sure to keep everything though! Even the styrofoam it comes in is important to maintain consistent heat if you live in a colder house like I do. It’s also good for storing when not in use.There are instructions in the manual, on the box, and even on one of the water bottles. Nice and compact, definitely easy to clean, doesn’t smell. It has a very gentle hum that easily passes as a soft background white noise.I’ve already hatched out two batches of chicken eggs with excellent results, and about to start a third. Great price and very reasonable quality. I would definitely buy this again if I needed to. Can’t wait to try different kinds of eggs too!Hoping to eventually make a video, but may be awhile as I don’t have much free time.
