Great Controller
SWITCH COMPATABILITY ISSUES:This controller will NOT work with every switch game. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit recognized the controller just fine the first time I played it, but refuses to recognize this controller at all now, when I start the game using the controller it will shut it off and ask me to sync a new controller. Another game, Super Mario 3D All-Stars SM64 stopped recognizing the controller once, but that was a one off, it's been recognizing the controller ever since. Really strange and I'm sure it has more to do with nintendo being super gate keepy. Those are literally the only two games I've had issues with the controller in, and i've tested like 20 games. Definitely worth noting though. You will NOT be able to turn on your switch from this controller like you can with a switch pro controller. In my experience, this controller came out of the box with stick drift, but this isn't like any normal stick drift, with the hall effect sticks, it's like the stick can be drifting but can be set back to center manually by carefully moving the stick back. According to my switch stick calibration though, you can clearly see that both sticks are off center. Bear in mind this is such a slight drift that I never saw its effect in game, it's only visible when you get real nit picky with the calibration software. They tend to drift upward, and have some wiggle room of where they can "sit" so it's not like it's stuck at drift but you get the idea. Not a problem for me though because it has no effect in game. The "4 way bluetooth switch" function works really nicely. I don't like how you can't change the default button mapping, you can only add settings which you have to switch to every time you turn it on. The rumble function works great, motion sensing works great. Back buttons are nice and useable, I set them to RZLZ so I can switch back and forth. The buttons do feel really close together, the sticks are even closer together than playstation controllers, the worst is the select and start being behind the sticks so it's an awkward reach, but I quickly got used to it. The texture of the sticks is horrible in my opinion, but I just bought some grips that work fine. The sticks function feels nice and smooth, very little resistance which can take some getting used to.Overall, none of these issues were reason enough for me to drop it down to 4 stars, it really is an incredible on-the-go controller. The 8bitdo case I bought for this controller also fits my ps4 controllers and it really cool. Bottom line, it's a toss up between this and the ultimate controller from 8bitdo, I got this because of the 4 way bluetooth switch and do not regret.

The best PC wireless controller out there
Up until the original pro model came out, I was using mostly Xbox 360/One controllers on my PC. I have also tried some other models of controllers including the Steam Controller and other 8bitdo controllers. I got the original Pro model and everything changed. It has a great feel, material and weight wise. It has a good enough battery life that I usually forget about until the game tells me the controller is disconnected. It is responsive and most importantly it has seen a lot of use with no flaws or issues. I say all that on the Pro 2 review because this seems like the same device, but with a few more features. The switch on the back for modes, so you don't have to remember power on button combos for other devices, is a great improvement. The two extra programable buttons on the back are well placed and easy to use. I think the only complaint I could lob at it is maybe some more color options. As of writing this, all my other controllers are getting put away and the Pro 2 is going to be my daily driver and the Pro will be my "friend is over, so they get the second best" controller.

My Top Choice for PC
8BitDo is my go-to company for PC controllers. Given the multitude of garbage options out there, and the ridiculous pricing of first-party console controllers, I'm happy these guys are around.Having owned the N30 Pro and wired SN30 for a few years now, I decided to upgrade to the black version of this Pro 2; per usual, I was not disappointed, and it exceeded the quality of my previous models, surprisingly.Thumbsticks: Most third-party or no-name controllers have unbearable deadzones that make aiming or navigating pointer-style menus a pain. Like my previous models, the Pro 2 doesn't have that problem at all. They feel on par with a PS4 controller, but I feel that the tactile feel of the Pro 2 is a bit more enjoyable.D-Pad: This is a big one for me. On the N30, I had d-pad issues. Nothing major, but enough to occasionally annoy me. With a DualShock 4, the d-pad is really awkward to use. The Pro 2 is accurate like the DualShock, but it doesn't have the awkward separated buttons. However, I'd check the d-pad upon receiving to ensure you get one that is up to par.Buttons: Far above any other controller I've used, and I adored the buttons on the Wired SN30. The Pro 2 somehow beat those. There is plenty of tactile feedback, when I hit a button, it does not stick or get jammed in the shell slightly. It simply works. Not to mention, the unlabeled look is really attractive. There are slightly off-color labels next to each button on the controller, but from a couple feet away, it's just a beautiful black piece of art. The two extra buttons on the bottom side are also welcome. I like to replace the L3 and R3 button functions with them.Triggers and Shoulders: Triggers and shoulders are great. About what you'd expect from a first-party console controller.Shell: I didn't know if I'd enjoy the "SNES with handles" look, but it is surprisingly sharp looking in person. Better yet, the contours of the controller rest better in my hands than any other controller I've held. Matched with the jet-black unlabeled theme, this is one I'll be babying to keep in tip-top aesthetic shape.Connectivity:Being my second wireless 8BitDo, this is no surprise, but I didn't notice any input lag. I'm sure it's there as with any other controller, but it's not in any way detrimental to even fast-press gameplay. 10/10. There are several connection modes, but I'll only be using this wirelessly with PC games. I can't comment on its Android or Switch functions. Definitely not Apple.Overall:This is now my favorite controller. It took the SN30 I have loved for quite a while, and it beefed up all the areas that could have been improved. While the SN30 felt great, the Pro 2 feels better. The same goes for its button feel, tactile feedback, comfort, and connectivity. When I hold this, I feel like I have the Bugatti of controllers, and if they made it compatible with the two main consoles, I'd never buy a first-party controller. 8BitDo has given me far fewer problems (practically none), lasts longer, feels more comfortable, and costs less.If I have one big complaint, it's that I can't hook it up to my PS4 when I want to game with my partner. Maybe work on that for the next upgrade if possible.

Great product
The controller is of good quality, however, it is slightly overpriced. I recommend checking eBay for more affordable options.

É leve, botões de qualidade mas precisão dos analógicos é mediana.
8bitdo nunca deixa a desejar.

The Most Versatile, Comfortable Controller
I love 8BitDo and their controllers, but this one got extra points in what I never would've thought would come from a 3rd party controller. It's a nice, heavy plastic, much like all of their older models. Holding it feels nearly similar to a Playstation 4 controller. The buttons are the usual membrane buttons, but they feel nice, clicky, and very responsive. So far, switching from Nintendo Switch, PC and Android, I haven't felt any input lag, even when playing Online with something like Splatoon 2 and Monsrer Hunter Rise. The major key functions that I did not expect though... this thing actually has Shoulder Trigger buttons that are actually smooth to press like a Playstation 4 controller. Nothing like the SN30+. This also has full motion control, to the point that I had no issues at all doing motion puzzles on Breath of the Wild.I got the Gameboy DMG style of controller colors, but recently swapped them out with SN30+ buttons. I didn't have to modify any parts to make them fit either, they all just work. Not only that, but their website shows you can buy replacement parts for all of their controllers, so there's not much to worry about if you somehow wear out your sticks. This does not work for your Xbox without a dongle though, if they make dongles for that. That's on Xbox though probably, since they don't seem to like 3rd party wireless peripherals.

I love this thing!
I have two 8Bitdo Sn30Pro+ controllers that are still going strong after 3 years. The Pro 2 was an easy choice when it was time to add another controller. It handles nicely, connects to my PC, Switch, Phone, and Steamdeck seamlessly. I love the retro clear purple plastic casing. The hall effect sticks on the 8Bitdo ultimate were tempting, but I love the form factor of the pro. You can't go wrong with an 8bitdo controller!
