Improved unstable WIFI
I have suffered with WiFi issues since I recently moved into a rented flat. I went with NOW Broadband as my partner was with them living in the same area and had no issues with them.First few days were great with no issues then started to have connection dropouts, losing a bar of WiFi signal leaving the living room where the hub was etc. Phoned NOW 3 times, replaced the hub, sent an engineer out who supposedly replaced a contactor in the box outside, gave me money off my bill to buy a booster, nothing worked.I found this item as it had great reviews. I thought why not. I thought this replaced my NOW hub but it doesn’t. You keep your internet set up the way it is and this item is connected to your hub via an ethernet cable. You then connect your devices to this router and you should get all green lights.Initially I had green lights but no internet connection. I panicked thinking it wasn’t going to work with my WiFi. However on the instructions there is details of a website to troubleshoot and eventually it done a firmware upgrade on my phone for the router which took a few minutes. This is all easy to do so do not worry if you’re not tech minded, either am I.After the firmware upgraded, everything was sorted. I had internet. The next thing was to test if it had improved my speed. My NOW hub was situated in the living room and when lying in bed I would only ever get 2 bars of WiFi on my iPhone and videos would rarely load. After I was connected to the TP router I went through and it did drop to 2 bars but then straight away went back up to 3. I done 2 speed tests (see photo above). The bottom one is connected to the TP router and the top one is connected to the NOW hub. It’s almost double the speed. That’s another thing, because you need both your normal broadband and this router set up, you can just switch between the 2 if you want too.I have the Tether app which again it tells how to install in the instructions and I can now control my devices etc. It’s really easy to use and you can customise your settings to your preference. To conclude I was initially skeptical that this would work with NOW but it did and has improved my connection massively. If you’re thinking about it, just do it.Hope this helps anyone who was confused like I was before buying.

It has replaced my expensive broadband altogether!
Absolutely brilliant piece of kit. As an experiment I bought this to see if it could replace my very expensive broadband contract with PlusNet that was about to run out. Well, with a Smarty £20 a month unlimited data sim it does! It supports streaming on my three smart TV’s, two i-phones, an ipad and a ring doorbell. It never falters or buffers and is on 24/7 without any problems at all. It needs charging about twice a day mind you. AND I can take it with me wherever I go so I don’t have to use dodgy public wiFi. This could be the future when the Government brings in a WiFi tax to replace the TV license fee!Absolutely perfect. I have cancelled my broadband contract with PlusNet as a result and no regrets.

Very Impressed
TP-Link Archer BE550I am very impressed by this router. I've been a gamer since the 90's and played a lot of FPS shooter games that require NO packet loss. Well I've never seen everyone of the bullets connect with 0 packet loss. The speed is amazing and the Wi-Fi is also very impressive. The router page on your browser lets you access the menu and all the options you would ever need are here and very well laid out.It may seem a lot of money but for Wi-Fi 7 and the reliability alone its well worth it.Simply instal this router and you shouldn't have any problems with your home network again.

Solved issues with poor Virgin Hub 3 signal.
Bought this after reading others’ successful experiences. Easy to set up with our Virgin Hub 3 in modem mode. Signal much better throughout the house with no need for a mesh network. Wish I’d known about this method earlier. Great tip from another user - set network name and password on the new router to match what was on the Virgin Hub - all devices re-connect automatically! Very pleased.

VPN Router??
Contrary to TP link own website and help pages this router doesn't work with Proton VPN... the only one I got to work, and barely as my speeds plummeted was Nordvpn. It's a great router packed with features however I only got it for adding proton vpn to it. Disappointed, but have resolved issue by getting GL-iNet router and it works flawlessly. Returned this under guarantee

Brilliant - 30 mbps speed boost - 3 storey house
We have fibre to the home and the router supplied router was struggling with speed and dropped connections, especially with devices far away (i.e. top floor of 3 storey house). So I connected the new router and on my furthest away device got a reading of 42mbps with the new router, compared with 12mbps for the old. You also have two channels to choose from with the new router and the other one gave 27mbps.So altogether very happy. This was easy to set up - just follow the basic diagram. It didn't work at first as I connected it directly. It needed to go through the old router though as the old router was also a modem and still needed. There is also a diagram for this - this is very basic cable connecting.Very please at the results - didn't expect it to be this good. The app has a bunch of features and settings as well which I'm yet to explore. My best purchase for a long time.
