Prevents plaque
This stuff works to prevent plaque. There is a slight anise smell in the container so I make sure it is mixed in well. We spent thousands of dollars to have 5 teeth removed from the cat and over a dozen from the dog. They both refuse any form of tooth brushing, won't eat the expensive paste, etc. I tried everything else without success. I wondered if this product was effective. After all, getting it in them is only half the battle. It's been over a year since the oral surgery and both of their mouths smell good and their teeth don't have plaque. Incredible!

Helps with breath not all but considerable
If my pup skips this even for a day, his breath is noticeably worse. It doesn’t completely eliminate bad breath, but it cuts it by at least half and seems to help his teeth a bit, especially since I use it along with kelp.

Works very well. I can see my dog teeth and gum are better
Buy it if your dog has those nasty tartar, gray brownish and stinky breath After literally 2 feeding with this powder and i also add “ Nylabone Advanced Oral Care Pet Dental Water Additive, Liquid Tartar Remover & Breath Freshener for Dogs” in his water, this is the result of his teeth after one night. The right side molars ‘s tartars is still there and it is how his was before, but the upper left molar’s tartar already came off. A big wow moment for me. His gum definitely looks less red and less swollen, teeth looks cleaner and his mouth smells so fresh too. He seems so happy this morning and like he wanted me to know and thanks me. I’ll update more to see if we can clear all of them gunks!! I’m not sure which products helped but that’s the combination I used for my dog!

Toxic for small dogs or cats!!
Vetriscience is a 40 year old company that I typically trust. I purchased this for my 3-lb Pomeranian to use alongside the 1-TDC gel caps and daily brushing. However, I would not recommend using it for cats or very small dogs. The dosing can be tricky, and their smaller size makes them more vulnerable to potential side effects. If you research “natural zeolites,” you’ll find they are known for their ability to bind heavy metals such as arsenic and lead. Zeolites are naturally occurring minerals found in volcanic rock formations and marine sedimentary layers. Zeolite is a family of naturally occurring (and sometimes synthetic) microporous aluminosilicate minerals that act as ion-exchange adsorbents. Common types include clinoptilolite, chabazite, mordenite, analcime, erionite, ferrierite, heulandite, laumontite, and phillipsite. This product is typically sprinkled onto food, but since dogs often sniff their meals before eating, there is a real concern about inhalation. In powdered form, zeolite can become airborne, and inhaling mineral dust may irritate the lungs. While not all zeolites are harmful, some forms like erionite are classified as carcinogens when inhaled, and it’s best to avoid chronic exposure to any fine mineral dust in pets. The term “natural” has become a bit of a marketing buzzword, often implying purity or safety without clear definition. Even “natural” zeolites can bind essential minerals like zinc, copper, and magnesium, potentially leading to nutrient deficiencies and placing extra stress on the kidneys over time. This could be particularly harmful in small breeds or pets with pre-existing kidney issues. While zeolites can help break down bacterial biofilms, such as those that cause plaque, I believe VetriScience could have opted for a less risky ingredient in a product intended for daily use. The mineral-binding properties are a double-edged sword: potentially beneficial for detox or oral health, but not without risks—especially for tiny dogs whose liver may not tolerate this.

Okay
I think this works okay. I might notice a slight difference in breath, but not a ton. It has a strong smell to it as well, but my dog seems to like the taste.

No more dragon breath
This is a FABULOUS product. I notice right away that my puppy's breath was fresh. I really found out how well it was working, though, when we went to visit my mom and didn't take it with us. After a few days she started to have the dreaded dragon breath. It was good to get her home and back to her treatment routine. It took a bit longer to notice a difference in my older dog. But after a few weeks even her serious dragon breath has cleared up. I am 100% thrilled with what this does. I'm anxious to see what it will do, over time, for the teeth. The one bottle is enough for one dog, about 50 lbs for a month. I don't know if it adds a flavor that they like or if it's just something they don't mind. Either way, they eat it sprinkled on their food with no problem. I would definitely recommend this product for all dog parents.

My dog doesn't mind this stuff!
Adopted a senior dog with horrible dental disease. After her teeth were professionally cleaned and having to have eleven of them extracted, I wanted to do something to help keep her teeth clean. It was recommended to use this product. I sprinkle the powder on her wet food every morning and night. She doesn't seem to care it's there and always finishes her food . I hope this will help prevent dental decay, but time will tell.
