Incredible fan!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Okay, so I originally looked into this fan because a friend shared a hilarious review praising it. My house is 200 yrs old and I live in the attic space, it is always hot, even with an AC unit. This fan is worth the price if you sleep better cool. It actually does put out cold air. Of course, it depends on the actual temperature of the room, but we had a massive storm, which lowered the temperature overnight enough that my sad little AC unit isn't working nearly as hard because this fan is WORKING AMAZINGLY!!! I love it. So worth it. Cooling: yep Air flow: plenty Ease of installation: super easy Noise level: super quiet

Works amazingly well. Best fan I've ever had. Quiet, powerful and perfect
I love this fan so much and regret not buying it sooner. It's quiet, strong and powerful. Usually I keep my ac on 69 but it's too expensive so I bought this hoping to lower the bill and maintain the cool temperature. It's definitely keeping my bedroom that cold even on the 2nd setting. I'm sleeping all night long without waking up and most importantly I'm not sweating. I get hot flashes at night and this has stopped them from being uncomfortable. The essential oil feature is a joke though. I don't notice any fragrance using it so maybe buy the less expensive one without that feature. It's not even in the booklet. But I'm very happy with this fan and I'm telling everyone to get it.

Big and Tall, but Quiet.
We ordered the fan on Jun 26, 2021, and received it on July 14. Very easy to assemble. It was much taller and bigger than we expected, but we'll see how we get used to the presence in our living room. Very quiet with speed 1, 2 and 3. Speed 5 sends good powerful wind. Smooth oscillation. The remote looks nice and is easy to use. It's nice that you can store the remote in the magnetic storage place on the back. The owner's manual is poorly written like machine translation, and is often incomprehensible. It doesn't explain well what the three modes (natural wind, sleep wind, and wind changes with temperature) do. It doesn't mention anything about fragrant box. The manual in the box has only 7 pages, but the manual that you can see on the page here has a different look with 12 pages. One of the reasons that I decided to buy this was that I found a website that has an extra image to show how to clean inside (see the attachment), but I was surprised to find that the manual doesn't mention anything about it. One of the figures in the manual (see the attachment) shows it looks like you can remove the rear panel to clean (?), but other than that there is no instructions how to clean inside of the fan. The rear panel has a little handle at the top, so I guess and hope that I can remove the panel to clean inside.

No longer have to compensate tv volume due to fan noise.
Been using a 4 speed costco tower fan for many years now. I believe it's a Blackstone brand. On speed 1 it was noisy. Probably about as loud as speed 5 on this 1. You'll forget to turn this fan off on speed 1. I think it's due to the DC motor this fan has. Not many choices on tower fans with DC motors except for Lasko and Dreo but they start at $90 on sale. Couldn't pass on this 1 when it dropped to $60. DC motors are quieter and use less electricity so in the long run they're worth the extra cost. Moves enough air for me at all speeds so happy with that. It's a nice looking fan and remote. It's got an occasional slight tick at its maximum oscillation points so I'm monitoring that. If it gets worse I'll return it since I just got it 2 days ago. Not annoying enough for me right now. This will be my 5th tower fan and I know from experience it's a lottery on getting the perfect fan. Also, I think people expect these things to have high output like blade fans. You should get pedestal fans in that case. I have 2 Honeywells for that and in the bedrooms so they reach over the bed. No room for that in the living room where a tower fits better and covers the couches and chairs. Anyway, I hope this review is helpful. Edit 10/1/23: Taking it down a star as it clicks during oscillation most of the time now. Going to replace it with another Dreo Pilot Max. I had bought 1 shortly after getting this Pelonis. Much better but twice the price. I’ll relegate the Pelonis somewhere oscillation isn’t necessary or the clicking is less annoying. At some point I’ll take it apart and fix or try the warranty route. Hopefully you get 1 without this problem. Other than that still a good fan. Edit 11/18/23: Taking it down to 1 star. Motor is starting to squeal. No wonder I saw this fan at a discount store recently. I had moved it somewhere where I didn’t need oscillation and now I can’t use it at all. Edit 3/16/24: Moving back up to 3 stars as Midea (Pelonis parent company) reimbursed me for the fan. I’ve oiled tower fans in the past and will oil this one now. I just didn’t want to mess with it under warranty. Hopefully I just got a dud. Reputable company though if you have any issues. Edit 9/15/25: Took the back cover off easily with 1 screw and oiled the top and bottom bearings. Noise is gone. Moving back up to 4 stars.

Fan looks very well made and modern. Pretty quite at low speeds. Nice remote.
Just got the '2021 PELONIS 42inch Oscillating Tower Fan' today. I opted to get this one over the 'PFT40A4AGB 40inch', and the extra 20% off coupon was nice. The box was kind of beat up but the fan was fine. It is pretty well packed. I bought this for my home office which always gets really hot in the summer. I've even had electronic devices overheat and shutdown. I was looking for something that takes less floor space and provides more coverage. So an oscillating tower fan seem like the right choice. My first impressions are really good. This fan looks very well made and modern. I was happily surprised to see an upgraded remote. I though I was getting the same 5 button remote that the 40inch comes with. This remote is white and looks more like an apple product. This fan has 5 speed settings but for my office (10X12), I will keep the fan at speed 2. For me it is a good balance of cooling and noise. This fan can start sounding a bit like a jet engine at speed 5. At lower speeds it is pretty quite. I have not tried the different wind modes or the temperature sensing modes yet. The oscillating part works well but does not appear to be adjustable like some old school fans. Big plus to me is that it has a 1 year warranty, when many other companies only offer 90 days warranties.

Good Fan, Stable And Doesn't Wobble, Powerful, Remote Is Line Of Sight Only
In an effort to save some space in a smaller apartment, I decided to get one of these tower fans. This fan is pretty big or at least it is quite tall. It comes well packaged and in four pieces. There is the main tower that is the fan.. There are two plastic pieces that snap together to make the base of the fan. Assembly is very easy and takes about 2 minutes. The forth piece is the remote. I got this via Amazon Warehouse in "Like New" condition for about $28. It didn't come with batteries for the remote. I'm not sure if if doesn't come with them or they were missing because it came from Amazon Warehouse. The remote needs two AAA batteries. This fan is powerful. It will blow papers off a table 15 or more feet away. The remote works well but only if the center of the fan is in line with the remote. It seems like there is a little sensor on one part of the fan that receives the signal from the remote. When the fan is on and rotating, the remote will only work during part of the rotation. If that one spot on the fan that receives the remote signal is not directly facing the remote then the fan doesn't pick up the signal from the remote. The touch controls on the top of the fan work flawlessly and are easy to control. It does have some sort of auto shutoff but I haven't played with the automatic settings enough to really know exactly how they work. Overall, this is a great fan at the $28 Amazon Warehouse price for a "Like New" one. At the $75 or more new price it is still probably a pretty good deal. There are lots of similar fans at that price. If you're going to buy a new one at full price you might want to look around and compare this one to other models. If you order this tower fan whether new or from Amazon Warehouse I think you'll be happy with it. The remote could work a little better but that's my only issue with it so far.

Great Little Fan
Great little fan. Although, it only does up to a 90 degree, it does produce great air flow. I would recommend. Noise level is tolerable, and it looks great. It was very easy to assemble.

SHODDY, UNSTABLE FAN NOT RETURNABLE.
DO NOT BUY THIS SHODDY, UNSTABLE FAN. It was a nightmare to unbox and then to put the four pieces of the base together. When I finally got the base pieces connected to the fan and stood it upright it immediately tipped over, the base pieces came apart with the heavy fan striking me hard in the leg (I now have a large welt and bruise) and then landing on the back of my little dog (he has a raw scrape on his back). At that point I decided to return it, so laying the box lengthwise on the floor I pushed the fan inside. But when I pushed the box upright the fan did not fully fit. Before trying again I decided to put the base pieces in the box; however, the base pieces cannot be pulled apart and are too big to fit in the box. THUS, THIS ITEM CANNOT BE RETURNED.
